The food is freshly cooked made to order and delicious! The staff is awesome! This time we met Brandon who is so sweet. We brought my daughter who is disabled and Brandon came over to say hello. It was nice meeting him. Brandon told us he has worked there just over a year and likes it there. I really enjoy seeing him there when we go.

Let me start by saying the picture of the front of the business on the page is not correct. But what I can say about Hwy 55 at 4421 Main St Shallotte NC, is the food is good along with great helpful and caring staff. The chicken Philly steak and plain old burger were great. We got French fries and Onion rings and we were not disappointed. The portions are just the right size so that means you can get a desert as well. The shake I got and hot fudge Sunday my wife got were great. The drive through looks to be pretty quick so the wait is not long at all. Staff tells me Sundays and Mondays are their busiest days. If you have a love for American Graffiti type music you will enjoy your visit. The music is great here. We will be back as they have a bunch of other items we want to try. If you find this post helpful, please give it a like. Back again on Sunday 2/18/2024, the place is very full. Love seeing local restaurants filled up like this. Great for the community and those wanting a good meal. Food was awesome as last time and service was great. I added 2 more photos of a To Go menu they offer.

Very friendly and nice to go out with my family and friends at one of my friends who is going through the same situation as the other person who is not going through it.
Down to earth for the rest and then you will be happy with the one I was with and the other person that was in the first room.

My first trip here. I went to the drive thru and ordered the cheesesteak and onion rings. Onion rings were tasty, fresh, hot and crispy. The cheesesteak however was not good. Bun was low quality mushy nothing like steak escape or other cheesesteak places. Meat had no flavor, very bland poor quality and the cheese product didn’t taste like real cheese but more of a cheese whiz type product. I was very disappointed considering the cost. Chocolate shake was just vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup added.

Sadly not the Shallotte Hwy 55 Diner we have loved for 20 years. The new location is New, more of a fast food with minimal table service. Staff is not focused on the customer interaction & making an enjoyable family or friends experience. Checking back is rare & cursory at best. They talk to each other but not the customers anymore.

The burgers were great . I got the carolina without slaw stull was an awesome taste. I ot tator tots and they were really good just for tots. The price was excellant and got a senior discount. I plan to go back and look forward to the new building opening

The burgers and hot dogs are wonderful. Get them exactly the way you like them too. Of course there are other delicious items available as well. My favorite hidden gem is the banana split! Three ‘scoops’ of soft serve with plenty of topping options. The original is great, but it can be customized to suit. This thing is huge! All for a price that can’t be beat anywhere – $6.99!! If you like banana splits you need to try one. You will not be disappointed. We went there before just for it!
