Not what I expect from Andy’s (Hwy 55). The Andy’s franchise is one of my favorite places to get a burger. This particular location though is not my first pick. The last time we were there, the place was dirty, flies buzzing around and they were out of cheese. My son (8 years old) even commented that the sanitation grade was low (lower than the 92 someone else mentioned).
We only stopped there this past weekend to give them another chance. The sanitation grade Saturday was a 92 I believe, and my son even pointed it out. It was still a dirty place, the floors needed more than moping. The wait staff was nice, but the service was slow and the place was only about half full. Oh, we were greeted as we rounded the corner to go to the front door by an adult male, bent over in the bushes throwing up, he had attempted the ‘eat more meat than a third world child sees in a year challenge.’ He failed, no fault of this location, but it gave me second thoughts about going in and eating.
All that being said, regardless of the hamburger challenge, we won’t be back to this location.

We went in here on 05-21-17. We ordered our food, everything but our fries came out. My sandwich was wrong, so I sent it back. The waitress brought it straight back out still wrong. I sent it back again. We asked for our fries, still didn’t get them. After about 20 min, I finally get my sandwich and it’s right, still no fries. After we paid the bill and were about to leave, we finally get the fries. My husband had a hair in his drink. We won’t be back to this location again, it was horrible.

There is a reason this location has a 92.0 sanitation rating… Found a hair in the cheese steak. These kids in here are nice, but they need supervision. They need experienced supervision. Someone to teach them the things that should be important to them, again I don’t blame them, I blame the upper management of this location. These kids are only doing the best they can, they don’t know any better, and unless someone teaches them they will never know.

Love the fresh squeezed lemonade period I get it at least once a week and is very refreshing and the burgers are wonderful. Nice old-fashioned burger and fries and a lemonade is my usual order. And their shakes are out of this world !

Good place to get a cheap bite to eat. Foods pretty good most of the time. Unfortunately it kind of feels like it’s going a bit downhill. I ordered the shrimp po boy like I normally do and it didn’t come with the lettuce, tomato, nor the sauce. A fry basket was also forgotten. There have been hic ups here and there but this was the worst. Hopefully this doesn’t keep happening

I have given this location So many second chances, to be honest I think this is the last straw. For starters, I never eat in, because this location is so grubby. But we live literally next door, so it’s a convenient place for a quick order of gravy fries or whatever. I know they know how to make gravy, because I’ve had gravy fries from there that were fine. But about the last 5 times, it’s been an inedible mess. Picture you take a packet of instant gravy, but instead of adding a cup of water and cooking it, you add a 1/4 cup of water and just pour it over the fries – that’s what they’ve been serving me. It is grainy, way way WAY too salty, and un-cooked. Some of it gets warmed enough from the fries to turn rubbery. Anyway like I said, I keep giving them second chances, but tonight was the last straw.

Very good, we went around 5pm on a Friday afternoon, not very crowded, service was great by our waitress. She was was handling every customer that came in at the tables & the counter while the other waitress spent the whole hour we were there talking w/ the cooks & anyone else that would talk to her but not helping any of the other staff. Would go again

Went in tonight to get two shakes. We usually frequent the one in castle hayne which we love. I walked in and a waitress was eating behind the counter where they were cooking. First red flag. I was standing at the counter and ordered two shakes. The girl opens the freezer where the custard is and the rim is covered in mildew. Then I look at the 92 health score and start looking around. The place was disgusting. Food all over the floors. Dried food on the walls. Trash all over the grill line. Just a mess and the shakes I longer appealed to me so we left. Won’t be back to this location. Very dirty.

A lot cleaner now! I loved when it was Andy’s Burger, Shakes, & Fries. The food never changed but how they ran the place got sloppy. I stopped going for 2 yrs because of how dirty it was. Went a week ago & it was like it was 10yrs ago! Amazing!
