I just love these small town places. You get that laid back, country kind of feeling. The service was wonderful. The Omelet I got was delicious!! I also love that they have a blessing wall of receipts of already paid meals if your in need. It just warmed my heart. We will be back. Maybe lunch next time.

Something’s changed at this place. Used to be really good.They used to have the best chicken fried steak they battered it themselves then they cooked it fresh and when it came to your table, it was hot and fresh and covered the whole plate. Now it’s just some tiny piece of breaded, meat that’s warm and soggy from sitting in a warmer. I know it was in a warmer because I placed my order and 2 minutes later they brought it to my table. Then I looked down on my plate to find hair also on my plate. I informed them of the hair and left. Huge dissapointment. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Service is always good here.

Some of the BEST food we’ve eaten in a while. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and had drinks very quickly. We chose the onion rings for the appetizer, and it was a win! How in the world do they make these onion rings and this batter?? They were incredible. Main dishes ranged from ribeye steaks, chef salads, and chicken wraps. All were very large portions with plenty to share. We should have started with dessert, so be sure to save enough room for the banana parfait and the Oreo parfait. We couldn’t stop until the desserts were done… And now we’re home, and we’re hurting. We’ll definitely be back and bring others to try something else great and filling. Thank you to the staff too, they were equally awesome!!!

Really nice place, with great food. The chicken fried steak was actually steak with a well seasoned crispy breading. The brown beans were well spiced with a thick bean gravy.
The Saturday prime rib was pretty good, it had a pepper/salt forward bark and was thick and medium rare as ordered.

Oh my gosh, I can’t brag about this place enough! The only problem I have is that I will get very fat eating there! The food was amazing, like sitting down at my grannies table. The service was excellent as well and very reasonably priced!

Who knew Poyen, Arkansas had such a great place to eat? Don’t drive past without stopping! Order the fried pickles while you look over the menu; they are delicious!! All the offerings are large portions and you will not leave hungry. Order a dessert to go, because you’ll be stuffed and can eat it later at home. Great staff and very friendly, local clientele. I’ll be back.

Food is always great here. Homemade Southern Comfort Foods. If I could recommend anything to make mine and others experience better…. if someone orders a salad with their meal, they would prefer it before the actual meal comes. I had ordered a side salad and did not get it until the main meal came. Defeats the purpose of wanting it before the main course. Maybe let your younger generation employees know this.

Nice restaurant in a small town. I had the hamburger steak, others at my table had regular steaks. All the entrees were delicious as were the sides. Had to go up to the counter with my glass to get a refill, they weren’t busy at that time, so a little inconvenient when having to leave your table in middle of conversation. I may go back when in that area again, but nothing stood out to make me want to take a trip out of my way to go.
