I was the 1st customer at their new branch in 3020 University Ave Se, Minneapolis, MN. The customers service was great. The owner, a gentleman. I had a Brisket Combo with French fries and Cole Slaw. Very delicious!The place is clean and welcoming! Definitely a nice joint!

The service was friendly and the beans, slaw, and fries were pretty good…but outside of that, the BBQ was of poor quality. The ribs were okay but the rib bones were so soft I chewed into the bone thinking it was rib meat so that was not appealing. The beef slab and brisket was 70% fat. The chicken was very dry. No smoke in any of the meat. All reheated and who knows when it was actually first prepared. I am always very enthusiastic about BBQ joints but I cannot recommend this establishment.

Ribs were overdone and came slathered with a gross bbq sauce. The brisket was sliced way too thickly, and again was covered in a gross bbq sauce. The steak fries were soggy and seemed microwaved. The baked beans were good though.

The brisket was dry and appeared more to be a thinly sliced chuck roast that was seared on a grill. The sides were bland. Would not recommend!
