Came with a group of 8 and had a great time overall. The highlight was absolutely the duck: they offer two styles, and we ordered the Flaming Duck. Watching it get finished in flames tableside was such a fun experience, and the duck itself was genuinely delicious, crisp skin and very flavorful. It was one of those dishes that hits both visually and on taste.
Special shoutout to our server Adriano for the warm, attentive service. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made the whole experience feel smooth and well-paced.
The rest of the dishes were solid but more on the “good, standard” side compared with the duck.
Dessert was a surprise highlight too: the dessert platter was very unique and beautifully presented, with that dreamy, misty “cloud” effect. A fun ending to the meal.
If you go, I’d definitely recommend ordering the Flaming Duck, and ask for Adriano if you can.
When we arrived I wanted to order a beer and surprisingly the waiter told us “we have no beer today” for a restaurant like Hutong where food is not cheap at all thats really unacceptable in my opinion.
Food was tasty.
We had the vegetarian spring rolls, half pecking duck (delicious!), Kung Po Chicken which had kind of Guava notes and was really good and the chefs fried rice + vegetarian stir fried noodles.
We paid $300 for 4 people.
The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was perfectly balanced and memorable. Colin and Adriano were knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out at the right time.
It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service shine equally, but they absolutely delivered. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Hutong to others.
We had my birthday lunch at Hutong Miami, and overall it was a memorable experience handled with care and intention.
The space is striking from the moment you walk in. High ceilings, dramatic lighting, and deep, rich design elements give it that old-world Chinese feel blended with modern luxury. Every corner feels thoughtfully done — from the main dining room to the bar area and even the restrooms. It feels grand but not cold.
Food-wise, most dishes were very good and well presented. Expectations are naturally high at this level, and for the most part, Hutong delivered. The only dish that didn’t quite live up to the reputation was the Peking duck — it was heavier and fattier than expected. That said, the rest of the meal held its own.
Service is where they really stood out. The staff was attentive, professional, and handled a few small hiccups smoothly without any attitude or defensiveness. Management checked in, listened, and made sure everything felt right.
They surprised us with complimentary birthday desserts, which were excellent and beautifully presented. It wasn’t over-the-top, just thoughtful and well done — the kind of gesture that feels genuine rather than scripted.
Hutong is clearly positioned as a high-end Chinese dining experience, and the pricing reflects that. With that comes higher expectations, and while not every dish was perfect, the atmosphere, service, and overall execution made the experience feel special and well considered.
A refined setting, polished service, and a respectful nod to tradition with modern flair. A solid five-star experience.
