Hutch’s has never disappointed. Mine and my wife’s go to for a great date night dinner. Took my father and his wife for their first time and they were blown away. The food is always top notch, service attentive, and we love the city vibe on the “new ” side. (You can request on your reservation). Always worth it

I ordered the tuna entree. When it arrived, it was tough to cut, stringy & bland. When we mentioned this to our server he said, “Did you get one of the stringy pieces?” Why would this be served if it is sub par? Yes the cost of the tuna & subsequent salad that was ordered to replace the entree was removed from our bill, but it was the overall disappointment that has me writing this. Hutch’s is always my go to for the standard in fine dining. We have celebrated numerous anniversaries, graduations & birthdays, of which it was my birthday, & many other special occasions. We come here because we know we’ll have good food. Unfortunately this was not the case last night & honestly Hutch’s has been slowly declining in service and food quality (the calamari recipe has changed to something that resembled Frank’s hot sauce sprinkled on it, the marble cheesecake had no taste except for a cinnamon essence) over the past 5 years. It saddens me that short cuts have been taken, recipes no longer knocking my socks off & servers (one food runner chomping on his gum AND blowing bubbles while walking the floor) who are more concerned with their tips instead of providing an experience for their diners. I am truly heart broken that one of my favorite restaurants is no longer my go to for important celebrations or any decent dinner.

The food, service, and ambiance are all fantastic. We’ve been going to Hutch’s for 30 years and it has always been a wonderful experience. Hutch’s has done a great job of staying contemporary. The decor and food is elegant and modern. We took my in-laws there last night for their 60th wedding anniversary and it was every bit as good as they deserve.

Hutch’s continues to deliver—this was my third visit in three months.
We started with the ceviche and soft shell crab appetizers—both fresh and full of flavor. For our mains, the Portuguese fish stew was rich and comforting, while the jambalaya pasta packed just the right amount of heat and depth. We finished with the crème brûlée and blueberry crisp, both beautifully executed and satisfying.
Service began strong—attentive and friendly—but noticeably tapered off after our entrees were served. (It felt like the four-top next to us took priority for the rest of the evening.) Still, the overall experience was excellent, and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

We had a group of 14 for a family get together before my son’s wedding. They were so attentive and the food was amazing. Everyone said how great the food was and we had a variety of steaks and seafood. The bar was also very inviting. Overall, our best dinner in a while and we eat out at lots of great restaurants. Buffalo has a real gem!

I don’t understand the hype—save your time and money.
I came here to celebrate my birthday with friends, and not once did anyone acknowledge the occasion. The food was well below average, and I regret not choosing a better place for such an important day.
We ordered three steaks and the special halibut—every single dish was extremely salty to the point of being almost inedible. The tuna tartare was just okay. The cake was disappointing, and my husband’s drink was overly sweet.
To make matters worse, the service was rude and inattentive. We waited far too long for food that didn’t meet even basic expectations. Despite the experience, we still left a generous tip, though it was completely undeserved. I always respect how hard servers work, but rudeness and attitude are unacceptable—and that’s exactly what we encountered.
The set up of the tables is super close. The tables are sooo so narrow, nowhere to put the dishes.
Overall, a very unpleasant experience for what was supposed to be a special night.

Hutch’s Restaurant exceeded every expectation. The food was beyond phenomenal and the service was just as impressive attentive, welcoming, and professional from start to finish. The Caesar salad had a unique, artisan touch that set it apart from anything I’ve had before. The steak with blue cheese was absolutely outstanding—cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. A true 10/10 experience. Highly recommend.
