Hustle & Dough isn’t loud, and doesn’t demand attention from the outside of the shop. But the inside is worth 5 stars. Incredible decor and LOTS of comfortable seating. Coffee came out quick, and the service was 5 stars!! Friendly staff who were very hospitable. Coffee gets 4 stars but Avocado Toast gets 5! Connected to a hotel so you’ll have some of people coming and going to people watch!

Easily my favorite coffee shop in Memphis.
Hustle & Dough on South Main is so much more than a coffee shop — it’s like the living room of our downtown community. I’ve spent countless mornings and afternoons here meeting friends, working, or just soaking in the vibe. The coffee’s incredible (get the Bourbon Mocha — trust me), and the food is next-level. The French toast and avocado toast are both unreal.
The space itself is beautiful — seriously one of the most stylish spots in the city. It’s got this perfect mix of Memphis history and modern design — old maps and antiques mixed with clean lines and cozy corners. Whether you’re here to catch up with someone or get a few hours of work done, there’s a perfect spot waiting for you.
But honestly, what makes this place special is the people. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and they somehow remember you — you feel like you belong here. And the crowd is always a fun mix — hotel guests, locals, artists, business folks, even the occasional celebrity. It’s just a really special place that brings people together.
If you’re in downtown Memphis, this is the spot.

We had such a lovely experience at Hustle & Dough! I absolutely love that they’re pet-friendly, they even make their own dog treats, and my Frenchie was obsessed. The treat was fresh and clearly made with care.
The food was delicious. I ordered the seasonal soup with green tea, and it was so comforting and flavorful. My husband had the avocado toast and said it was incredible, fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented.
The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy yet elevated, such a great spot whether you’re grabbing coffee, brunch, or bringing your pup along.
We’ll definitely be back!

Hustle & Dough is a beautiful cafe that shares space with their bar located in the lobby of the Arrive Hotel. The quirky decor and interior design are artsy and fun! Love the bright colors paired with antique furniture. The host and baristas are all friendly and courteous. I tried their barrel aged bourbon mocha latte and coconut lavender latte. Loved the creativity behind the bourbon mocha—extremely sweet and astringent. I just wished both lattes was topped off with latte art and particularly that the coconut lavender latte was more stronger and concentrated in coffee flavor. The overall drink was quite weak. Definitely a must stop when in downtown Memphis.

I was told a baked good was gluten-free when it wasn’t, which could have been a serious issue for my celiac son. Our drinks were ordered to go but came in a mug and a glass instead, and one of the two hot drinks was served iced. The space is beautiful, but the service was lacking and the drinks were just okay.

Great quality of coffee. Got the bourbon mocha and it was pretty good. The atmosphere is pretty neat and laid back. Cool decor and furnishings. I really like the cocktail coffee bar combo. The staff was very friendly. Didn’t get food myself but all the food I watched come out looked really good. Smelled pretty purfumey which was pleasant after adjusting to it. Like whatever airfreshener/oil sticks/incense they are using smell very nice but it’s strength kinda slapped me in the face when I first walked it haha.

Was really excited to try this place. The pictures of the building and furniture certainly lived up to the experience. The coffee was lacking and water downed and topped off with cold foam disappointment. The Matcha tasted like colored milk water and would have been more enjoyable with a healthier scoop of match. The advertised flavor profile of their drinks were lost somewhere in the decor.

Atmosphere is 10/10. The cafe is inside a 4 star hotel. Look at the pictures of the hotel lobby, just stunning with reburnished classical design. There are couches and table where you can chill and enjoy some food and drinks. Other reviews about their food looks very good too. But I didn’t get to try it .
About coffee, look at the picture of my iced latte. It is white. Doesn’t taste bad but the barista needs more training for sure.

Gentrification has been on the rise in Memphis for some time now but to be locals of Memphis and frequent the area often, this is not a coffee shop I would recommend . The owners and workers are very rude to people of color and can’t so much as give a proper greeting of the day . My spouse walked in and the gentleman working decided not to speak and when asking about “over the rainbrew”, he stated that they no longer had that item but there was a pink Cadillac instead (no problem) . Other customers entered the establishment who were of course Caucasian and both workers spoke to them . The audacity to run a business in Memphis and not think that everyone is worth a greeting is different . It’s disgusting and appalling to say the least . People are the reason you have a business . This behavior will not be tolerated and is not appreciated. Have the day you deserve and the hope is that your business goes out of business , for the lack of consistency when it comes to customers . Good riddance and have the life you also deserve .

We had a great experience. The food was great, especially the raspberry hand pie, and the Bourbon Mocha was off the charts delicious.
But the most impressive part of the experience was the great atmosphere and vibe. We have two dogs traveling with us to visit Memphis, in addition to our two young sons, and they were all treated incredibly well and welcomed.
