A true experience. You shouldn’t go to Astoria without going to Hurricane Ron’s. What an awesome place.

He’s got great food and strong drinks but that’s only 25% of the experience. Inside you’ll find an emporium of wild stuff. I’d explain but that would ruin it.

Come for the food and drinks, leave here after experiencing the joy and fun that is dinning at Hurricane Ron’s. You won’t leave hungry guaranteed.

It’s a very unique restaurant. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu for having been there for a week and a half. We ordered frog legs and halibut fish and chips. Frog leg, yes, one frog leg was from frozen and uneatable, fried to beyond edible, no meat. Halibut was a good portion size, but burnt. We told our waitress our concerns and then I don’t know if it was the owner or manager came to our table and argued with us about the quality of food, took my boyfriends beer from him and told him he was cut off. We left. I have never had such a bad restaurant experience. Will never go back.

The oysters were pretty good but a bit over priced. The rest of the food was bland. The Calamari steak & Frog legs needed some seasoning.

My new favorite restaurant! Amazing fresh local seafood and unique menu with excellent variety! The best crab melt in oregon and the hurricane chowder was amazing! The special was crab stuffed deviled duck eggs which were delicious.
Our server, Emily, was perfect and the chef came out to personally check on how our food was. I also loved the lizard and fish tanks! Really cool and unique gift shop too… I literally bought a real bat. Check my pics.

We dined in here for lunch today and had a relatively okay experience until my partner began eating the takeout burger I ordered him. A few bites in he had the unwelcome surprise of a completely raw patty of the Camel Burger which he didn’t realize until he had already taken a few bites.

Our actual dine-in experience was lengthy, but good. Our server was great and very communicative regarding the backup the kitchen was experiencing. From time of order, it took over an hour for our food to hit our table which we were okay with. Our halibut fish and chips were delicious but the waitress had to apologize several times that the burger in question we had ordered was still not out by the time we had finished eating our food and paid the bill (the orders were all placed at the same time).

I’m confused how it took 1.5 hours to get out a burger, especially when the patty was 80% raw. Not just rare, but mush ground meat. Honestly this would’ve been a good experience minus the burger and if we weren’t currently having some health concern anxiety.

Great place for fish, friendly and communicative service, and hopefully no long lasting impacts from the burger…

The service really made up for a lot, thankfully. Our bartender/waitress was just the sweetest thing but the food was just ok. My favorite thing we ordered was the crab stuffed mushrooms but they were more cream and cheese stuffed without much crab at all. Loved the exotic meats on the menu, none were particularly tasty but it was still interesting to try. Would definitely skip the frog leg, it was $8 for a single stick that was mostly breading but at least the kangaroo was not bad.

The food is so good. A must if you’re in the area.

Lobster melt was full of flavor. Not your typical little lobster taste.

Clam Chowder is a must
Ill be back for sure.

Hurricane Ron’s was a very lovely experience. I’ve always been curious about it, the outside is absolutely gorgeous and hard to miss with all the flowers and other decor. I’ll admit I didn’t get a very good look at the inside, but the glimpse I got was nice. I wasn’t quite sure who to talk to to order, but a waitress came up to me instead!
The food was great. The steak was maybe a little bland to me, but cooked well (and to be honest, I like a lot of seasonings when I make it for myself). The salad was NOT what I was expecting, but was also very pleasant!

Beautiful, and fun restaurant to visit. This is the best place in Astoria to get seafood. They also have a wide selection of exotic meats (camel, alligator, kangaroo etc). The atmosphere is wonderful. Highly recommend
