We went here Monday night before going to Mamma Mia. It was about 6:30 and not crowded. We got right in. They sat us in a small booth by the front door. I guess it is the only wheelchair accessible seat. So we were kind of out of the way. The food was kind of the typical pub fare. It was good. It was reasonably priced. I thought my burger was a good burger. My daughter liked her pasta.

We just arrived in town and wanted a quick bite before resting. Our hotel recommended Hurleys which is next door. It is a Very nice Irish pub. It was a little loud at first but our server was so gracious she took us to a more quiet spot and made some great recommendations for food and drinks. The Rueben was great, the service was even better. Alicia is very outgoing, accommodating and engaging. We are coming back tomorrow to checkout the Shepard pie. A great start to our vacation.

I had a great time at Hurley’s Restaurant & Bar on West 48th Street and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a lively Irish-style pub experience right in the heart of NYC’s Theater District. The location is perfect — just steps from Broadway theaters, Times Square, and plenty of nightlife — so it’s an ideal spot for a pre-show meal, casual dinner, or drinks after a long day of sightseeing.

Walking in, you immediately feel the classic pub vibe. The space is big and welcoming with multiple levels, plenty of seating and tables, a full-service bar, and lots of TVs showing sports. There’s a casual, friendly atmosphere whether you’re at the bar with friends, at a table for dinner, or just grabbing a pint. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable — they seemed to genuinely care about serving guests well.

The drink selection is strong, and the bartenders know their stuff. From pints of beer to specialty cocktails, everything we ordered was served just right. The Hot Bourbon Cider special was a standout — perfect if you’re visiting in cooler weather and want something warm and comforting in your hands.

Food at Hurley’s was satisfying and hit the spot. The menu leans toward classic pub fare and comfort food, with juicy burgers, crispy wings, fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and plenty of snacks and appetizers. We tried the extra-crispy buffalo wings and they were hot, flavorful and cooked exactly as requested — a rare find for wings. Portions are generous, which is great when you’re eating after a show or with a group. Prices are fair for the neighborhood, though be aware that some guests have noted a standard 20 % gratuity is added to the bill automatically.

What I appreciated most was the lively, relaxed environment that makes Hurley’s feel like a living, breathing part of the city rather than just another tourist stop. Locals and visitors mix easily here, and it never felt stuffy or pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you can stay for a couple of drinks, enjoy your meal, and unwind without feeling rushed.

Of course, no place is perfect. Some visitors have mentioned occasional service hiccups and higher prices on receipts, so it’s worth double-checking your bill. But for the majority of guests — myself included — the experience was fun, tasty, and memorable.

Overall, Hurley’s delivers a warm, classic pub experience with solid food and drink, friendly staff, and a buzzing atmosphere. If you’re in Midtown and want a great place to relax before or after a show, this is a spot worth stopping at.

My wife and I had reservations for dinner Sunday. As most people know by now, NYC had a big snow storm. We didn’t pay attention to our emails and we received a message they would be closing down for the day. When we arrived, all the lights were out. The bad news is we weren’t having Italian… but the good news is we stumbled upon Hurley’s Restaurant & Bar. What a great place!! The moment we walked through the door we received the warmest welcome from the bartender, Alicia. She was friendly, cheerful & spot-on with food recommendations. My wife had Blackened fish tacos and I had Shepard pie, both were exceptional. We will definitely be back again… what a great find!! Thank you Alicia!!

Excellent food and staff! They have HUGE hamburgers that are so juicy! Fries are cooked perfectly. They cater to those with food allergies (I have both egg and milk), so don’t be afraid to ask. Definitely would go back.

Overall, we really enjoyed our time at this bar. We attended for the VIP ball drop escort, which did not go well, but after talking with the manager and looking into it further, it was clear that this was not Hurley’s responsibility and was handled by an outside company. Everything at the bar itself was great—the food and drinks were excellent. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff were welcoming and attentive.

Downstairs is your more traditional Irish Pub atmosphere and upstairs is a more traditional restaurant. Nice menu with a good variety of choices. Great spot for a pre theater meal. Attentive servers. Didn’t rush us but at the same time everything was served timely.

Had a fantastic lunch at Hurley’s Saloon today! I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned with just the right kick. The bartender was super friendly, adding to the great atmosphere. The place itself is well-suited for large gatherings, with multiple floors and plenty of TVs to catch up on sports or news. Definitely a top spot in NYC for both drinks and dining!

My family and I meet every year in New York to catch dinner and a show during the holidays. We wanted a quick bite before our show. Our hotel recommended Hurleys. It was a weekend and very busy. What a great experience. Our servers Alicia and Mo were so wonderful. Outgoing, fast and got us to our show on time. We enjoyed it so much that we came back after the show for dessert and we were lucky enough to see Alicia again. Good food, excellent service. She was fun, professional, and always reflecting a supreme attitude. I’d come back again just to see her.
