Social Profile:

A pasty (pron.: /pass Tee/), is a baked pastry. It is made by placing uncooked filling typically of meat and vegetables, without meat in vegetarian versions, on a flat pastry circle and folding it to wrap the filling, crimping the edge to form a seal. After baking, the result is a raised semicircular comestible. Pasties from Mackinaw Pastie are sealed with our unique folding method!

I had a breakfast pastie. It was delicious. I did not take the hint that I should have a fork because I asked if I could eat it with my hands as I was driving. The answer was yes, take the fork, it was a very messy meal but I enjoyed every bite. Definitely stop here if in Mackinaw or passing through of the Upper Peninsula

I purchased 6 pasties which I honestly have not tried yet. The owners “boyfriend” was worth making everything 5 stars. Just an outstanding face for any company. Nice, through and honest.

All ingredients are fresh and cut in house. The dough is premium. No artificial ingredients. I look forward to trying all the varieties I purchased.

Many thanks

First time eating a pastie – it was good. Comfort food. Ordered the stroganoff style which simply added some sour cream.

Being a tourist, we thought of giving the Pastie a try, as this was the so-called local famous.

First, we had the cookie – it was so soft and not unnecessarily too sweet. Perfect!

Pastie – While the concept is nice, it wasn’t something we would have again, only because we don’t eat single taste food. We didn’t get the gravy & I guess it could have helped, but in general, none of us ever liked the regualr gravy. Some good sauce? Yes. We added some Salsa, Tabasco, salt & pepper. It helped add some falvour to it.

Creamy coleslaw was good.

Definitely happy we gave them a try!
Excellent service
Excellent food, fresh, hot, and delicious.
We came back for seconds. Pastry was light but tasty. Not to thick that it makes the Pastie. The Gravy was flavorful but not to heavy or over spiced.
We will be returning.
CoVid friendly, clean, and seating area was welcoming.
Restrooms were clean and cared for.

We got our Pasties to go. They offer a small cooler for 6.99 to transport them home in. I decided to get one and my pasties traveled well on the 5 hour drive home. They have a cheese pastie that I decided to try and that one I ate in the car on the way home. I chose that one because it didnt need gravy. It was very good. I brought home 3 beef, 2 breakfast and one cheese pastie that my husband said we’re very good. I did not buy gravy on site we just got packets from the local grocery store to make with them. They give you reheating instructions when you buy them to go. They also serve coffee that smells amazing. We did wait 4 minutes for it to brew but they did warn us of that when we ordered. My passenger said the coffee was very good. They offer a pastie combo and have some pretty tastee cookies.

Best pasties in Michigan! I wait every year for them, specifically the stroganoff one. The gravy and sour cream are a heavenly mix with the pastie’s soft crust and perfectly moist interior. Want a pastie and want it to be a great experience? Get it here!

I wouldn’t go here just for the principle of terrible service. On 6/10/24 at 5:34PM Johnathon P waited on us and acted as though we were an inconvenience. We sat down for a nice meal after a fun day. He brought our pasties in a Togo container and told us we had to leave. Only Togo, no dine in. He said management told him to kick everyone out after 5PM. They are advertising that THEY ARE OPEN UNTIL 6PM. We finished eating outside by the car and left at 5:52PM, eight minutes before ADVERTISED closing hours . See the picture for the poor, sweet older couple this establishment also kicked out. What an awful restaurant to do this to us let alone older people that deserve more respect than what we were shown. If they need hired/help, then the owners need to be front and center on the line working. I ran my restaurant 7 days a week, from 8am until 11pm, front and center. That is what you do. Go to another pasty restaurant across the bridge not named Hunt. Otherwise, the food here was just that, food to fill the stomach.

Super fast and friendly service. Rustic “cabin like” interior which gives you the “up North” vibe. Pretty interesting pastie options, I went for the El Grande with taco sauce, cheese, and sour cream and it was really good! I also got a taste of my wife’s classic pastie which is always a staple. Delicious pasties and do not suffer from the “bland and dry” effect that I feel like a lot of pasties fall down into.
