My partner and I visited this restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I had a great dining experience at Huntress, so I highly recommended it to my partner.

We made a reservation for 8:15 PM and arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes early. The host guided us to wait until our reservation time, so we patiently waited. However, despite seeing many customers seated before us, even those with the same party size and reservation time as ours and checked in later than us, we were still unable to get in until passed 8:25 PM.

The two hosts apologized for the inconvenience. Despite the setback, we tried to maintain a positive attitude and not let it ruin our special evening. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table in front of the restroom and the exit, which was not the ideal location I had been hoping for. I requested a table change and was informed that it would take 30-45 minutes for a suitable table to become available. However, I noticed that there were still empty tables remaining even as the store was closing.

The food was absolutely incredible. The quality and taste were impeccable. The Tomahawk steak was well-served, and the dessert(Choco-Chata) was fun and sweet. Even though, I did get a cold burn on my lip from the ice cream pieces that froze by liquid nitrogen (I believe the server should have warned).

I’m not sure about the next time. The lack of basic services was disappointing, and I felt like we weren’t getting the value for our money.

Walking into Huntress feels less like stepping into a restaurant and more like entering a controlled storm one crafted by people who actually give a damn. There’s a kind of velvet-lined electricity in the air, the kind you only find in places where the staff moves with intention and the guests lower their voices without being asked.

The ambience hits you first.
Low light, warm wood, metal with attitude. The kind of space where a good drink tastes even better simply because the room knows how to hold it. Huntress doesn’t try too hard; it simply is, and that confidence bleeds into everything they do.

And then… the Old Fashioneds.

In a world where every bar wants to reinvent the wheel, two men behind this one choose instead to honor it and elevate it. Javier and Julian, working behind that bar like they’ve rehearsed this dance in a past life.

You watch them and it’s a symphony without sheet music:
• one gathers,
• one measures,
• both adjust,
• both execute.

Every action a quiet flex. Every pour, every stir, every snap of orange perfuming the air intentional.
It’s the kind of drink that makes you exhale a little slower, the kind where halfway in, you realize you’re not just drinking an Old Fashioned… you’re having the best one you’ve had in years. Maybe ever.

That level of craft doesn’t happen by accident. It’s knowledge, muscle memory, discipline, and a touch of artistry Michelin-star behavior without the white tablecloth pretension.

But let’s talk about the Tomato Burrata.

Calling it a dish feels disrespectful.
This was a masterpiece a small, edible fresco of simplicity behaving like luxury. The kind of plate that makes you pause for a second before taking the first bite, because beautiful things deserve a moment of silence.

And from the bar, you get the best seat in the house.

A direct view into the kitchen
a living, breathing organism.
A brigade moving with the urgent grace of people who know they’re on a stage.
It’s The Bear, but with sharper technique and fewer meltdowns. You watch chefs glide around one another, eyes sharp, hands steady

every moment counting, every plate polished like a final exam.

There’s no chaos here.
Just art, disguised as labor.

Huntress isn’t just a restaurant.
It’s a performance.

A showcase of teamwork, craft, and the kind of pride you pray every kitchen still has.

And it’s damn refreshing to see.

Amazing dinner at Huntress! Bread service is a must. Wagyu bites – wow. Bacon chop is like nothing I’ve experienced. Delicious! Miso sea bass was also excellent. Service and vibe were outstanding.

Amazing food, will go back

The brussel sprouts salad, the mushroom dessert and the A5 wagyu, the wagyu bites were perfect. The roasted potatoes were really good too.

Husband and I tried this place for the first time on Valentine’s Day (we had reservations). The staff at the front was very friendly and we were seated upstairs immediately. The hostess who sat us made it very clear we only had 90 minutes, due to the holiday, which was odd considering we weren’t a walk-in party and during the time we were there, the restaurant never filled up. We were given the Valentine’s Day prixe fixe menu and the regular one, but after looking at all options, we decided to stick to the regular menu. Our server was nice, but not very attentive. The servers who helped with water and brought out the food were awesome. We ordered drinks, one of which was very “popular” and my husband said it tasted like water – we sent it back and ordered an old fashioned instead. My drink was good, but sweet and seemed very basic. Now, the food was absolutely delicious, with the exception of the waygu bites (or “A5” bites, as the server called them), as my husband said they fell apart and hardly had flavor. The lobster toast, house bread with 3 butters and lebneh were all very tasty – they were gone immediately. Husband ordered the frites (which came with fries lol) and I ordered the filet (two sliced pieces) and bone marrow. Let me tell you, I ordered my filet medium well and it probably came more pink than I normally like but it was ABSOLUTELY MOUTHWATERING, easy to cut into and very flavorful. I ordered the mashed potatoes on the side and they were so creamy. We asked for the dessert menu, but there were only 3 choices and none of them sounded good, so we opted for ice cream at home. All in all, our experience was decent and we’d recommend it.

Excellent food and service. The main dining area was a little noisy but could be due to a private event going on. The private room upstairs was excellent. Would definitely be back.

Came here for a work dinner expecting a top-tier steakhouse experience. While there were some positives, the overall value didn’t match the price.

I ordered the ribeye listed as 16 oz for $110, served with mashed potatoes. The steak arrived pre-sliced without asking, which felt strange and took away from the experience. Portion-wise, it honestly looked closer to 12 oz, not 16. I regularly order 16 oz steaks and usually have leftovers—this time I finished it quickly and wasn’t even full.

Flavor and tenderness were underwhelming for a ribeye at this price point. It wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t memorable or worth the cost.

On the positive side, the staff was friendly and took time to explain the menu and ingredients, which I appreciate and expect at a place like this. That said, the service felt a bit overdone—almost like they were trying too hard, which came off slightly awkward rather than natural.

It’s also worth noting that other dishes were excellent. The sea bass was outstanding and easily the highlight of the table, which shows the kitchen is capable of delivering great food.

The ambiance was nice, but ultimately the steak—the main reason to come here—didn’t justify the price. I’ve had significantly better ribeyes at much less expensive places.

Ambience is wonderful and kudos to management and the DJ for having amazing music, but not too loud!

Food is really fantastic. A lot of unique dishes as well, but if you want that, they are very heavy, (as is restaurant food in general), in terms of fat, butter, etc.

This place is very pricey, but I feel it is worth it because of the great food.

Where I feel there could be improvement is the service. Our server had a style that was very short, rushing into us and rushing away without really explaining much of anything. This is in contrast to others servers we saw at adjacent tables who were calm and giving their tables a lot of information. Also, even though our dishes were plated out over the course of almost 3 hours, all our dirty dishes were just left on the table and not picked up. The used bread plate, the empty butter, dishes, the appetizer plates, etc… — note to management, this is not acceptable at a Restaurant of your caliber (we were also a small party of just two people).

So overall, based upon our experience of operations as well as operations at other tables around us, Huntress is a bit hit-or-miss.

More consistency would be a solid 5-stars, but for now I’d have to give it a 4/5.
