We were driving back to Baltimore after seeing Blondie at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. We often enjoy taking The Road Less Traveled because one never knows what little bit of magic one may find along the way. Hunter’s Dairy Freez is such a place. We had already parked at the mega Sheetz across the highway when we glanced across the street and saw the Dairy Freez. It was dwarfed by the Sheetz but we were captivated by it and immediately crossed the highway. This is a great place to get ice cream and the staff are very friendly. There’s a very welcoming garden and outdoor eating area. It was a great place to break up our 6 hour road trip. Highly recommended.

A great cozy little spot that’s great to stop in after a visit to the dr or just when your out and about. A variety of ice cream options and sundaes and stuff like that…I usually get the teaberry milkshake and my wife gets a sundae and the kids will get soft serve or sundaes they just aren’t as friendly as I remember them being or I would’ve said 5..but they do have a beautiful little open area on the outside where you could go to enjoy your food or ice cream as well…a good option for people with animals or just to let the kids run around in a nice peaceful spot

Purchased 2 subs and an order of corn nuggets….$26. Unbelievable! To top it off, the “meat” was so thinly sliced, I had to look around for it through all the lettuce and mayo. And no cheese. Won’t be going back!

Super friendly staff. Great dessert. Old school atmosphere. Got two milkshakes and a twist cone. Great prices, great taste. The staff was really great and it seems like they have a good crowd of people who regularly go. I watched a group of girls order who didn’t have enough and the guy behind them paid the difference. Helped restore a bit of faith in humanity to see interactions like that. Will stop by whenever I’m in the mood for a good dessert . Highly recommended.

This used to be my ABSOLUTE favorite place to go get food… however their prices have shot up… it cost me $12:50 for a medium ice cream cone (2 small scoops) and a large tea berry shake… the tea berry shake did not even taste anything like tea berry… it was pink and had too much milk. Disappointed and probably Won’t go back for a while.
