The owners, Jonathan and Gabby, are hands-on and genuinely invested in making every guests experience exceptional. Their presence is felt in friendly service, attention to detail, and passion. The food and drinks are EXCELLENT! It’s consistently delicious, satisfying, and they use quality ingredients in every dish. Their cocktails are incredible with complex, and fantastic flavor profiles. I am always satisfied and leave happy and full. The service is wonderful, the wait staff are attentive, kind, and I’m not shy about calling this place my favorite restaurant. I can’t say enough good things about the food and drinks here, you really must try it for yourself!

I’ve sampled nearly everything on their seasonally rotating menu and have been impressed time and time again. Standout favorites include the signature burger, the chopped cheese, the poutine, ricotta toast, and the calamari. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I can truthfully say this place is unlike any other and it will continue to have my business.

We went into this place the other day during the Lindenhurst Spring Fest and have to say that the atmosphere, food, and service was absolutely amazing. Although I didn’t get pictures of the food I assure you it was all delicious and well presented. The burger was seasoned perfectly and the chopped cheese sandwich was amazing. The corn bread was so good it would have even made for a good dessert. The onion rings were prepared like I’ve never had before and the calamari was just right. We didn’t have dessert as can be expected since we did eat a lot to begin with, but the drinks were top notch for sure.

Hunter & Thief is one of my favorite places to go! The food, drinks, and overall vibe are one of a kind. Jonathan and Gabby go above and beyond to make each experience unique. For food I highly recommend trying the cornbread, poutine, and burger. Save room and try the chocolate fudge cake for dessert! The cocktails are also amazing and I enjoy the variety and frequent specials. I’ve also been to various theme nights which have been so fun. Jonathan and Gabby take so much time and effort to make the theme nights immersive so that all guests can enjoy. If you are looking for a place with great food, top-notch drinks, and a vibe that just works, you have to try Hunter & Thief!

I really loved my experience here. The food was nicely balanced, fresh and unique to the menu. I got the courgette and truly felt joy in my soul when eating it. The centerpieces were fresh and beautiful. The drink was crafted with care and had a fresh and beautiful garnish – I’m not sure what it was because I asked them to surprise me. Service was laid back and friendly. The atmosphere felt like a candle lit night in a second home.

Have been to this cocktail bar numerous times. Not a bad item on the menu, and trust me, I’ve eaten them all at some point! Family owned and operated—sometimes you even get a greeting from their adorable children! Drinks are amazing and so is the staff—the kind of place I can go to alone and still end up having a great conversation with my meal!!

Id love to share some food pictures of the amazing meals I’ve had here but, unfortunately the food doesn’t sit long enough on the table to get a picture…it’s that good. I’ve been here countless times and I swear it gets better each time. I’ve been for dinner, karaoke, a work happy hour, psychic night-there’s always amazing cocktails on brand with the theme! If you don’t know what you want to drink, ask Jon the bartender and he’ll come up with the perfect recipe for you! My best friend and I had the BEST old fashioned here in the summer.

Such a fun unique vibe. Upon making a reservation I mentioned it was for a birthday celebration and we were seated at a very nice table which was greatly appreciated. Service was great. Too many delicious drinks to choose from. We tried a few and loved them all. There are lots of small plate dishes to share. We were there close to Halloween and the decorations were awesome. Follow their social media they have many different event nights. Definitely will be back.
