We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Hunter’s Steak House and had a fantastic experience. We made a 6:30 pm reservation on Saturday, 2/7/26, and I’m so glad we did—the restaurant was packed. Despite that, we were seated right away.
Our server was wonderful: very friendly, attentive, and courteous. Our appetizer came out quickly, and our steaks were cooked exactly to our liking. Even though I ordered my prime rib well done, it was still tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious.
To top it all off, they surprised my husband with a complimentary Mud Pie and a huge sparkling candle, which made his birthday feel extra special.
It was a great first-time experience for me, and we will definitely be back!

Hunter Steakhouse has the classic old-school steakhouse atmosphere, and we were seated quickly in the upstairs dining room. We had reservations and liked the room itself.

The service made the night tough. It took about twenty minutes before anyone came to our table. My wife joked she could walk to the car for her water and be back before any drinks arrived. We didn’t receive water or drinks until after our salads, and my drink didn’t show up until the main course was already on the table. The pacing felt off across the whole meal. Our entrées arrived only a couple minutes after the salads, which made the experience feel rushed and out of order.

For the price point, the food didn’t rise to the level we expected. My wife’s salmon tasted frozen, and my steak was fine but not memorable.

We left feeling disappointed. The setting was nice, but the service issues and mid-tier food hurt what could have been a great night out.

The vibes from the Hunter are from a bygone era. From immaculate table-side salad service to old style sides – you feel a little like you’ve stepped into the past. I like the old school vibes and the haunted lore. I like the perfectly cooked rib eye even better. Can’t beat the price.

Our server was also superb. She has been there for a long time and knows all of the lore. She took great care of us. Our water never ran low, she gave us great recommendations, and she was just fun to talk to. Everyone in her section was enthralled with her wonderful service.

Can’t wait to go back!

Went for their $5 mimosas, best deal around for bottomless! Friendly staff, very mellow atmosphere. I ordered a veggie omelet and it was absolutely delicious, the egg was nice and fluffy. Also their artichoke dip is amazing, definitely one of my favorites I’ve ever had.

This was my second and last time to this very overpriced place.
From the minute I walked into this old dreary place I could smell bathroom cleaner. We had a table of 14 with one server which wasn’t bad except the poor guy had to take care of the rest of the room also.
Orders were messed up, items that others at the table didn’t order were added to checks, one person never got her salad and another one never got her soup. Someone was able to order the French dippers which were cold and they did not taste fresh.
I ordered the Calamari Fritti which was the best I ever had. My friend enjoyed her lamb chops and another enjoyed her fried shrimp.
Never once did the manager come around to see how everything was and maybe help the server out a little. Dirty plates were piling up on the table so one of my friends go up and started bussing the table. While 3 people stood behind the hostess station, which included the manager.
They ran out of mint glaze for the lamb chops, offered chimichurri sauce and we were told when the server came back they ran out of that too! Another friend asked for tartar sauce and they told her they ran out of that too.
How does a restaurant run out of 3 sauces on a Saturday night at 6:00, who’s doing the ordering? All they had to do was have someone make the sauce. For the price that you pay for their food they should have everything available and especially someone bussing the table instead of the customer doing it.
It just baffles me that this place charges so much for their food and the manager or hostess can’t help out especially when the reservation for 15 was made enough time in advance to have enough people helping out.
And they charged me $4 for soda water, for water to carbonate the water? And $5 for a soda!
It also started to get very warm in the room, guest at our table started leaving.

Do not waste your time or money at this place, it truly isn’t worth it.

Food was amazing! Went for a dinner night Sunday with my family, we were very pleased since we walked in to this place until we left. Every employee was smiling. The server done a great job, even when my 3 years old was asking her for so many things. Going back to the food again, the steak was delicious, cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the porterhouse steak.

I will start with a positive the salad at the table was nice. My wifes steak was cooked to her temperature. My 60 dollar porterhouse was horendous. 10% of the steak was somehow cooked to medium, the rest was just short of bleeding rare. We never saw the server after we got our food until my lady was done with 80% of her meal. When notified her response was well i didnt cook it. Did offer to have it cooked but after it sat and almost done i declined. Asked her to show it to the manager thinking wed have it rectified. Nope 60 dollars for about 4 bites of steak. Save yourself the money go down to texas roadhouse. They at least check in once you start eating.

My husband and I started ordering our Thanksgiving dinners from Hunters Steak House about 5 years ago. The food was delicious, the portions sizable. We were always satisfied with the quantity, quality and value.
Then the restaurant was sold and the new owners took over.
The first year after that, the quality and portions were still excellent.
This year however, I paid $86.00 for 2 meals – my husband and myself and we were Extremely DISAPPOINTED!
The turkey was like slices from a jellied turkey roll, extremely small portion of cranberry sauce as though someone ate some of it. A small portion of carrots.
The salads were fine Small slices of pumpkin pie!
Not worth $86!!
We will Not be ordering or going there again!
