My fiance and I had an Exquisite dining experience for our first time coming to the Hunt Club Steakhouse in Lake Geneva. We came on a cold Sunday evening And it was quiet and slow paced inside Our server was excellent I wish I remembered his name but he said he was from California I remember Went very into detail with all the dishes and how everything paired very well with each other And gave excellent recommendations.
We will definitely be coming back here more often!

We spent the day in Lake Geneva shopping and celebrating our anniversary. I wanted to take my wife out for a nice dinner to a good restaurant for our 58th wedding anniversary. I booked reservations at the Hunt Club Steakhouse and after reading the reviews I was a little skeptical after I booked my reservations. We arrived at 5 PM for our reservations. We were seated immediately by a pleasant hostess. Our waiter, William, who goes by “Will I Am” was a fantastic server and waited on us and served us our meal and did a great job. He immediately served us some complementary champagne to celebrate our anniversary. I had the New York strip and I ordered it with salt and pepper seasoning only and well done. It was cooked to perfection and my wife, Mary had the crabcake appitizer and the lobster special. She said both were delicious. Not sure why all of the bad reviews because our meal was excellent and the service was even better. We had a wonderful time and a good meal with a great atmosphere to go with it. I gave William a good tip and would definitely go back again and request William for a waiter. I would highly recommend if you want to go to a first class restaurant for a good meal and excellent service. We definitely will be going back again….

Our experience at Hunt Club Steakhouse was absolutely spectacular! This is a first-class Wisconsin supper club experience beautifully housed in a lovingly curated 1915 building. Our server, William, was a highlight, guiding us through a truly delicious dining experience with authentic care. The wines by the glass offerings were excellent, and the Chef and team presented dishes that were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious to eat. I highly recommend starting with the Duck Fat Parker House Rolls and the Local Apples & Crescenza (and OH! the Wagyu Strip!). The seafood dishes were also spot on—the Lobster Pappardelle was truly the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be telling people about this exceptional meal for quite a while. I hope to be back soon!

We had a wonderful girls night At Hunt’s celebrating my daughter’s 12th birthday! The service was top notch. I highly recommend that you request William for your server. He was attentive and personable. I truly feel he played a big part in our excellent dining experience. The food was exceptional, our tenderloins were prepared perfectly. We enjoyed the brussels, carrots, and Mac and cheese sides. The location itself is really neat; feels like you’re far away from home. It is nestled in a historic home that was built in 1915. Hope you have a chance to visit the Hunt Club Steakhouse soon!

Our Valentine’s dinner at Hunt Club Steakhouse was extremely disappointing.
I ordered my steak medium, and it arrived well done ,dry and burned. After sending it back, we waited until 7:35 PM to receive the replacement, despite having a 6:00 PM reservation. My husband’s meal went cold while waiting. The mushrooms were also overcooked and dry.
By the time the steak arrived, I had lost my appetite and asked for it to be boxed. No manager came to apologize, no effort was made to compensate for the mistake or long delay, and we weren’t even offered dessert. What should have been a special Valentine’s dinner was completely ruined. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Where do you start? How about 75 minutes after being seated, when the long-awaited Parker House rolls finally graced the table. Despite a charming, wood-paneled setting and a promising menu, our visit was marked by a stunning lack of efficiency. Our friendly but overwhelmed server asked that we place our entire order at once. A move that made it easier for the kitchen to prioritize quicker tables. We witnessed at least four other parties arrive after us, complete their meals, and leave before our triumph with the bread. After us seeking out a manager which is odd for a restaurant trying to play fine dining- which they market as, aspire and charge like. No control or awareness of the floor. It kind of worked- our appetizers arrived roughly 15 minutes later. The burrata was creamy and well-paired with seasonal accompaniments, and the plum salad stood out with its thoughtful layering and acidity. These bright spots, however, were undercut by the glacial pacing. Their calling card, the steaks were cooked to temperature and satisfying. But hard to tell is they were good or just so hungry anything tasted great. A seasonal risotto, delicately balanced and generously flecked with truffle, was the sleeper hit of the night. Unfortunately, the walleye arrived on a plate so scorching it clearly served a long sentence under a heat lamp overly salted, and lacking flavor after being stewed in its own juices for who knows how long. Salt-mania extended to most of the sides, dulling what should have been a classic steakhouse spread. The poor service did net us some free deserts which were (sorry to say) but were uninspired as they clearly don’t have a pastry chef on staff. I guess that felt like making up for the 85-year-old celebrating his birthday enduring a wait two hour for his entree. Hard pass for any groups. They’re clearly not set up to serve them with sluggish pacing, communication lapses, and a mandatory 20% service charge that rewarded these shenanigans. While this is located on a golf course I would recommend playing through on this one.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. The atmosphere is brilliant! Our server, Jess, went above and beyond and was incredibly attentive. We get to a lot of steak houses and this is our new favorite! We were even visited by the chef, who was genuinely interested in our take. Lots of laughs and good eats, memories were made here.

Out did our expectations! There was not one bad thing that we ordered. The drinks were incredible and generous. We started off with a crab cake, continued with the tenderloin, bone in ribeye, potatatos and Brussels. This food was not hotel fridge worthy, so we felt the need to finish every bite there! Finished off with the cheesecake and it was the perfect meal for our anniversary. We will definitely be going back again. Though pricey, it was worth every penny.

We like to come here from Chicago for my boyfriends birthday every year and this year it was so disappointing. The service was great. But the $120 unseasoned chewy porterhouse was not the move. The sides were amazing I just suggest staying away from the overpriced bland steak. I asked for some sauce or something to give the meat flavor and its $6 for a tiny ramkin that I took 2 bites of. But the ambiance is amazing and the service is great. Drinks are amazing and highly recommend the bread. Just avoid wasting your money on the porterhouse. Im honestly upset I wasted my hard earned money on it but you live and you learn.

Wanted to love this. Went to celebrate a family event. While ambiance was very nice and location lovely, everything beyond that was progressively lacklustre.
The starters were good , we ordered the special- raw oysters , french onion soup and the wedge salad . The bread took a while to come out. Our waiter came by twice to tell us it was going to happen. And then finally it did and was warm and good.
The main course is where things were lacking. The steaks were not juicy but rather dry, though we got medium rare. There was no seasoning- no salt / pepper. None at the table either. The garlic mash lacked flavor – could not taste garlic, salt or butter and the brussel sprouts were very greasy.
Service was decent, not great. All in all not what we expected for a dinner that was ~$100 a person. We will not be back for a while… Not one to say never.
