I ain’t gonna lie, damn the food was the best. I had pot roast, it was delicious, the dressing was the bomb! Next time we are in the area, we will stop by. Don’t forget the lemon cake, moiat and delicious.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I almost drove past this gem. My church family stopped by today for lunch and from the minute we walked in until the minute we left we had nothing but good things to say about this place. The food was great, customer service was great and the owner even came out to greet us. My favorite part??? The strawberry cake! I LOVE a good strawberry cake and they are hard to come by. Im glad I didn’t eat my piece when I was at the restaurant or else I probably would have bought another piece which I didn’t need! Will definitely return and recommend!

Got a 3 item veggie plate to go (yams, greens, broccoli cauliflower carrots combo). My items were seasoned nicely. Greens were tender. All items were well done/ cooked right. Oh we also had fried fish. It was cooked to perfection. Lightly seasoned. Service was friendly! Kool aid was great!

The SoulFood is delicious (well seasoned). We were disappointed they only had baked chicken drumsticks and no other pieces. But the 2nd time I ordered the smothered porkchops and I must said “I’ll be coming back again and again”. Overall it’s worth visiting but just don’t come around closing time.

First and foremost I must say thank you for relocating to Lancaster- as restaurants are needed in this area. I am appalled at the taste of everything I purchased which was $52 worth of stuff. Nothing tasted as if it hadsoul in it- now it looked like it had soul but man was the seasoning absent. I went on a Sunday where there are several options and the line was out the door- I’m blaming it on that and I’m going to still give you guys a try this Wednesday. However, I am sad to report that every bad review I can agree with- the mashed potatoes is straight instant with no seasoning. Meatloaf- no taste I mean not salt or black pepper- Mac and cheese I seen black specs but I didn’t taste them. I pray we get it together, because I’m ready to eat some good food.

Everything was extremely well seasoned and everything was delivered hot and fresh I’ll definitely be back to try something else it’s nice to finally have a soul food restaurant on this side of town I would definitely recommend if your in the Lancaster tx area

Although they are relatives I am like Mikey, I don’t eat just ANYthing. The food is very good soul food. The portions are enough to eat off a couple of days and the prices will not break you bank. Love that! A couple of favorites are the smoked salmon on Tuesday and the stuffed turkey legs on Friday. You won’t be disappointed. They cater also!

Young man was nice, he opened the door as I walked in. I made eye contact with a woman behind the counter and she never said a word until she finished serving the person in front of me. Then didn’t greet or explain the menu, she just asked for my order. As a regular customer walks in she greeted them by name as she was fixing my plate. I dined in and the tables were out dated and not the cleanest. Food was under seasoned. Sad to say that I won’t be returning.

Fried chicken wings are well done, well seasoned and hot and fresh. I see why the fried chicken is always selling out. The fries were hot and fresh and seasoned to perfection. The toasted Texas toast was fresh and buttery. I can’t wait to catch Soul Food Sundays here.
