“The Best Burgers in the World!”
Do not pass this place up! Little Burger shack on the side of the road in cow country. The Beef is the best quality and the burger slaps! I order my fries extra done/extra crispy so they are cooked perfect.
The lady at the window is so nice and remembered me from my previous visit, which was over a month in between.
When people tell me they are driving up to Denver from Southwest Colorado, I always tell them to take highway 285 just to stop here. The burgers are that good!
And there’s something nostalgic about eating a juicy burger on the side of the highway in the middle of a beautiful valley.

We were traveling through Colorado and decided to stop here for lunch. It was truly a delightful experience! I love how they use local beef from the Eagle Rock Ranch, which is basically just down the road. They also have homemade ice cream and a coffee shop. The burgers are simple, but tasty. Definitely worth a stop if you are on 285.

The Bacon Cheeseburger is legit! The fries are absolutely delicious! Service is great, there’s usually a little crowd there enjoying the picnic tables. They also serve brats and loaded fries.

This is the best road trip stop in the mountains! The burger was an easy 10/10, per my friend “one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.” The bun was delicious!
I got the train wreck fries! Ding ding They ring a bell when you order these and now I understand why! They are quite the undertaking but so delicious!

Be sure not to drive past this hometown joint grilling fresh burgers to order. We stopped by on our way to Salida. The burgers were amazing and the toasted bun was perfect. The fries were a bit soft for our preference but flavor was still good.
Highly recommend the bacon cheeseburger.

Wowww what an amazing restaurant. It was unbelievably amazing. Everything tasted very fresh and so delicious. We were saying wow with every bite. We ordered the train wreck burger and train wreck fries and a cheese burger. The train wreck fries and burgers are a must-have for sure. I’m very adventurous and love burgers with lots of toppings and layers, so I didn’t try the cheeseburger, but my husband really enjoyed it.
The owner was very kind and sweet, and since it was our first time here, he checked on us to make sure everything tasted good.
Make sure to get here early because around 12:30, the line was very long.
We drove all the way from Denver to try this restaurant, and we will be back for sure.

This was a really fun and delicious place to stumble upon. The burger was delicious, juicy, and a decent size. I also got extra cheese, and they cooked it to perfection. They have sides, too, but the burger itself makes it worth it. I hope to stop by again and grab another delicious bite!

Everything about this place is 5 stars! I stopped by on a camping trip mostly to get a bag of ice. But after a quick look at the menu I was convinced to get myself and my pup a burger. Of course my dog enjoyed the Puppy Dog Burger and couldnt have been happier! I got the Classic Trainwreck and oh my goodness, the best burger I’ve ever had. It was HUGE! Bursting with flavor and good even as left overs. To top it off the bags that we received our food in had both mine and my dogs name written on them – it’s the little things. All I have to say is, I might camp in this area more just to enjoy burgers and the friendly atmosphere of Hungry Moose Caboose again.
