Remake/retry out experience
The cheese sticks here are exceptional. While they were slightly greasy in some spots, they were incredibly flavorful and featured a generous amount of high-quality cheese. I typically avoid ordering cheese sticks as they often feel like a redundant, smaller version of a standard cheese pizza; however, these are uniquely well-made. It has been quite a while since I have enjoyed cheese sticks of this caliber, and I would certainly return just to order them as a standalone snack.
The pizza was also impressive. The ratio of toppings to crust was well-balanced, providing plenty of cheese and pepperoni without an overabundance of dough. My only critique is the level of grease; in the areas where it saturated the crust, the texture became a bit soft, making it difficult to pick up and slightly altering the flavor profile. Fortunately, blotting it with a napkin resolved the issue.
Overall, the meal was delicious. On my next visit, I plan to request that the kitchen lean toward a “well-done” or lighter oil prep to mitigate the grease. I highly recommend giving them a try!

I decided to give this place a shot, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. I ordered a Large Pepperoni Pizza, but what I actually received was essentially a small pizza’s worth of toppings surrounded by a massive, 3-inch thick wall of crust.
The proportions were completely off. On one slice, a full third was just sauce and dry crust—the “pizza” part only reached the very tip and one corner. There was hardly any pepperoni to speak of. It felt like I was paying for a loaf of mediocre bread rather than a large pizza. While the small section that actually had toppings tasted okay, the crust was terrible and dominated the entire meal.
Beyond the food, the service and value were frustrating:
Hidden Fees: They charged extra for using a card without clear notice.
System Issues: I didn’t receive my loyalty points for the order.
Inaccessible Service: This is a drive-thru-only location, which is already inconvenient, but I couldn’t even get back to the window to ask for a correction once I saw the food.
Between the “crust-to-pizza” ratio and the technical headaches, I won’t be back.
Delivery pick up
Heads up to fellow delivery drivers: The policy here on where to pick up is a bit of a moving target depending on who is behind the counter.
Small Orders (1–3 Pizzas): Stick to the front/window line. If a staff member tells you to go to the back door for a standard order, double-check with the manager. I was told by one employee to use the back for a small order, only to be told by a veteran staffer and the manager that small orders must come through the front.
Large Orders (4+ Pizzas): The manager confirmed that for ‘big’ orders, it is easier and preferred to use the back door to avoid juggling stacks through the window or lobby.
The Vibe: Communication between staff can be inconsistent. You might get told one thing one day and treated like you’re crazy for following those exact instructions the next. Save yourself the loop-around and only head to the back if you’re hauling a stack.”

Terrible Experience
The customer service here was trash even on the phone the person speaking was telling someone to hush and snickering in the back! Obviously they had nothing better to do and I should have taken that as a sign. Making it worse the pizza was terrible ! Sloppy ! 2 cheese pizzas out of a half and half !!! It was suppose to be well done so I asked to put it back in and they burnt it! While again laughing instead of apologizing. Thank god for Brian the only person with an ounce of customer service and refunded our money to us with no problem.
We love hungry howies and should have never switched up on my original location. Because they are new I was trying to give it a try never again !

We tried to place an online order, my card was charged $65, then a message popped up that there was an error and that we needed to call the store so we did. The nice girl who answered the phone told us the order was not processed. She explained to her manager that this has been an issue lately. The manager got on the phone with us and said thst unfortunately the way corporate will look at this is that it wouldn’t matter that we were charged for the order, it would only matter that they didn’t receive the order. So they refused to let us come show them in person we had been charged and make our order for us because it was an internal error on THEM. Terrible customer service and policy. This was THEIR fault and corporate can’t afford to make some pizzas and apologize for this happening. WE WILL NEVER do business with them again. So beware.

Pizza was still HOT when it arrived. From Leesburg to Middleton and still hot, nice job. Our delivery driver was super nice too. The pizza was typical delivery pizza.
*We did get the tie dye pizza from the “secret” menu. It looked very cool and the kids loved the way it looked. Definitely recommend if you have kiddos or having a party. Neat conversation piece.

I wanna say that I have the best customer service experience at Hungry Howies today At the Leesburg location on Shelfer Street. Close the employees that I encountered one named star and I forget the other girls name we’re very kind And courteous. We’re able to fix my order that the call center apparently messed up. Which by the way the call center always messes up. Either way they got my situation right now and I left there a very satisfied customer.

My family’s new favorite pizza place. Their selection of crust seasoning is great and the garlic herb is our fave. The pizza, flat bread, salad, cheesy/cinnamon bread and wings are all top quality for a pizza franchise. Their staff is always greeting people with a smile and nice to deal with.
