Kinda of sad! A friend showed us this place years ago and it was amazing! Forgot about it for years and ordered it a few days ago and just didn’t get the same experience.
Ordering online was easy, over priced for a middle standard pizza place.
Delivered my order through door dash which was fine.
Pizza arrived and it was lacking toppings, little stingy on the pineapple!
One bite and cheese was in my mouth and the bread was in my hand….

Are you out of pizza sauce???? My pizza and sub both have so little sauce you cannot taste it. Both are very poor tasting. Ive eaten at other hungry howies in different states and none were ever this bad.

While taking a friend to a dr appointment, I told them I’d treat them to pizza if they were hungry. One of them mentioned Hungry Howies, s name I had never heard before. My neighbors mentioned I ought to get a job here & it reminded me of the good service we got here sometime long ago before CV-19. We arrived after the grill had been cleaned and everything was being put away for the night. She didn’t hesitate to take our order and dirty up her clean grill to make our sandwiches. She was gracious and attentive, even joking. The best time at the restaurant for sure.

I called on 07/04/23 and was placed on a few minutes hold, when the staff picked back up, I was then told that I needed to wait on hold for another 15 minutes before anyone could take my order because the lobby was slammed. I waited on hold a few more minutes before hanging up and placing my order online.
I drove a few blocks up the road to pick up my order and to my surprise the place was almost empty. I walked in waited a couple of minutes for staff to address me. I was so irritated that the staff would lie like that.
The pizza was not good to me. Texture, taste, appearance was off putting.

I used to love Hungry Howie’s because there pizza is so good. Then, a few weeks ago I had a terrible experience. I won’t be going back. My pizza took 1 hr. 45min. to get to me, then it was cold. When complaining, all the manager would do is give 10% off the next purchase or remake the order. I wanted the pizza 1 hr. A
ago, I’m not waiting any longer and the 10% deal was advertised on the pizza box. The manager should have offered a free meal at a different date of my choosing. I’ve had Papa John’s do that before. Customer service is absolutely terrible. Not wasting $40 again!

This was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with a food company before. When I went to pick up my order, the lady who dealt with us was not wearing a mask so we did not feel comfortable eating the pizza. We were told to throw the pizza away and that a manager will call us to work out a refund. I did not receive a call. After 2 weeks I called again and was told that because we took the pizza outside the store, we can’t have a refund. This is unacceptable store etiquette especially during a pandemic. It’s ridiculous that this stores unsafe hygiene cost me and they refuse to give me a refund.
Update: The store owner called and kindly offered me a refund. I was told that it would take a few days for the refund to show up in my account and that I would be reached out to once the refund was initiated. It has now been 3 months and I was not given a refund nor have I been contacted again.

This place is ran so poorly. I’ve had so many issues over the years but today really topped the cake. I was quoted 40 minutes until my pizza would arrive. After an hour and a half I call to see where my pizzas are. Yvette answers and tells me that the driver who was delivering my pizzas hit a curb and I’m going to have to wait an additional 40 minutes. How are you not going to communicate this with me earlier? Why did I have to reach out to find out what’s going on? I don’t know who trained Yvette but her customer service skills are very very bad. Her lack of communication should be alarming.

I went into this Hungry Howie’s not expecting much, just lunch. As the saying goes….you only have one shot at a first impression. First impression? Excellent. The place was immaculate. I was greeted very nicely by a young lady at the counter who was pleasant and guided me through my order with ease. (I don’t remember her name but we talked about donating plasma). She was on point. The food was very good. Great lunch experience keep up the good work, Ft Lowell and Campbell team!
