Editing as there is a now a generic reply my review: The business DID try to fix this issue but it was the Market House manager (who was VERY SWEET) that called to talk to us NOT the General Manager of HH that wasn’t too busy to call and threaten us withink 15 min of the mistake on a regular day. The complimentary pizzas weren’t even all correct. On top of that all we still observed improper mask usage which is unfortunate considering they are food handlers.

Recently moved back to the area and the kids were looking forward to HH pizza so we decided to order last night. I called the order in, chatted with the guy on the phone about what we should get to feed approx 10 people. We agreed on one $20 special and then I thought I had asked for a combination pizza, another pepperoni pizza, and some bread.

My mom stopped in on the way home to pick it up and the girl at the window couldn’t find the order. They finally did and she was ready to pay and the girl told her that it was paid for and it was on the receipt. So she thought that I had paid over the phone and brought it home.

We didn’t get what we thought we had ordered but the price did reflect what we received so it wasn’t a huge deal. We were just finished with dinner and my mom asked me if I paid for it. I told her I didn’t and she said she was going to when she got there and we were in the middle of talking about it when I saw that I missed a call.

The voice mail verbatim is:

“Hello, my name is Tony, I’m the General Manager at the Hudson Hungry Howies. I was going over information and found that with your order you had not paid. We’re going to need you to come back up here by the end of tomorrow to pay unfortunately otherwise we may have to press charges. I would much rather not have that be the case but this is a very serious matter. Please contact us back and we will get this taken care of as quickly as possible.”

Now, we had just realized that it wasn’t paid for and had no problem with paying for the order even though it was wrong. HOWEVER, THREATENING TO PRESS CHARGES?! I mean come on. I have been in customer service for years and that is NOT the way to talk to someone nor is that the way to leave a message and make sure that a situation won’t be potentially escalating.

Not only did he lie to my mother saying he wasn’t there last night (he apparently only came in 30 min later to call and harass us via voicemail) when she went back in to pay tonight, no one even offered the solution of payment-by-phone. They would rather be nasty and pushy to their customers. Unfortunately, we will be calling their corporate as we feel that if they were that rude to us it isn’t the first time.

Had they just called and said “Hey, looks like your bill didn’t get paid. Could you please call us?” this would never have become an epically long review.

Also, We noticed tonight that not one mask on any employee amid the re-opening due to COVID.

This location can’t seem to catch a break. Food is average when it’s right. Almost never has deep dish pizza’s available. My latest order was wrong…. Might just order exclusively from Bobbye’s…

We ordered three calzones and when we picked them up, they were grossly under filled with toppings. I called in a complaint and he said that, “all calzones are made by weight, not filling” ok, if that’s the case, make lighter weight clazone dough! We didn’t pay full price for more dough then toppings. Hungry howies has lost all my future business. I’d rather go to McDonald’s and get a couple cheese burgers for less then one calzone costs. Hungry howies, be lucky I can’t share a picture of your grossly under filled calzones that cost more then $12 dollars a piece.

grabbed a one large topping pizza to go. Lady was super rude on the phone. Then we got there and they said that they had messed the order up and they were remaking it. Messed it up again then messed it up again and put the wrong crust on it. We’re super rude unhelpful. employers were very unsanitary drinking out of pop bottles and then not washing their hands while preparing the food. putting his hands to his lips. And continuously not washing his hands. and would not consider remaking the pizza considering after he put the wrong crust on. Making it the second time they had messed up.

The foods ok… but that’s the only part. Unfortunately, you just can’t order a simple pizza on a Friday night at 8pm without calling and getting a stupid voicemail, or having the phone ring endlessly! Plus their staff really isn’t good. Awkward and seem rude. Rush you along, if you’re even lucky to get them to pick up the phone or not push you away as soon as you stop in to make an order. These guys are famous for telling you how busy they are and how they can’t squeeze in even 1 more pizza with 2+ hours till they close! Sorry, but I’ll drive way past them every time to get to a place that treats their customers better. Hudson hungry howies, get it together, and me (along with many others) may actually return. Just better get it together quickly before it’s too late, guys!

It’s alright but not as good as it use to be a few years ago. Last few times we got pizza they didn’t get the crust flavor right on the pizzas and a few times they were burnt but other than that it was good.

I got the everything bagle seasoning, and it was genuinely one of the best Hungry Howie’s pizzas I’ve had. Also the staff are nice.
