My initial call to the WB location set the tone. I asked the young lady who answered where were they located. I wanted to make sure I had the correct store. She sd “we’re in a strip mall on Orchard Lake Rd”. Orchard Lake Rd is filled with strip malls for miles. I then asked for the cross street. I heard her ask someone in the background where they were located. .
I’m not sure what happened with the quality once this location moved. But my pizza delivery was a mess. Initially I received a voicemail from the mngr saying the delivery person wasn’t able to get in contact with me. Why were they calling instead of ringing my doorbell?? The HH delivery person returned and knocked very lightly. My doorbell works and is in plain sight. My porch light is extremely bright so not sure how she missed the doorbell.
I open my pizza that was sealed with a “quality check” sticker. As you can see from the pictures no one could’ve quality checked the pizza. One slice was completely missing all the items. It was just a bubble of crust. The 2nd slice had a 1/4 of cheese and nothing else. I had ordered a chicken bacon ranch jr size pizza.
I immediately sent pictures and a video of what I received to the manager’s phone. Then I called the WB location. The manager had already viewed the video. He offered a credit for future use or a new pizza delivered via door dash. Of course I opted for the new pizza. I ordered initially because I was hungry. The new pizza was delivered by a very nice young man and all the slices had been prepared appropriately. The Hungry Howie’s chain has always been my favorite pizza. I’m not sure what happened when this location moved. But I was extremely disappointed with the service on Dec 26th.

i had a beautiful experience with this location. first time trying this location, due to others around me being closed, and i just picked up my food 30 mins ago. on my way there, i had received a call from their store confirming our oddly specific requests, and he even described how he was going to make the food to suit our preferences. when i arrived at the store, i was asked another time if the food looked good enough to our tastes, and it was perfect. every xtra topping was included, and our cook time was to our exact preference. this store really pays attention to detail and cares about the customer’s needs.

Hungry Howie’s in West Bloomfield is truly an amazing community partner. They are always willing to help us out, especially on those days when we place a last-minute order for 10 or more pizzas & they consistently take great care of our officers.
Most recently, they stepped in to feed our team during a Chili Cook-Off event (we know chili and pizza don’t exactly match, but our officers didn’t mind!). Even while their store was in the middle of relocating to Sugar Tree Plaza, the manager was incredible to work with. They prepared our large order on time at a different location & still managed to deliver everything to us without missing a beat.

Best Big name Pizza Franchise in West Bloomfield hands down. Forget dominos get Hungry Howie’s every time. They make great pizzas; great service given ordering during most busy of times. My orders has always been accurate and well worth the money.
Employees always helpful with any questions when ordering. The best thing when ordering pizza is not stressing if it will be it’s best because Hungry Howie’s always hits a home run. Also they support great causes which is like garlic dipping sauce to a pizza.

I never had an issue with this hungry Howies until they moved locations and hired a few new people. I was spoken to on the phone rudely, then in person she handed me my food but then took it out of my hand because I’ve yet to paid. But just yanked it and told me a total. Which I was going to pay so a simple explanation, I would have happily handed the food back and handed my card. I will most likely be going to a different location from this point forward.

I’ve gotten pizza from this location since 2009 and I think I enjoy the pizza more today than I did 10+ years ago. It was way more oily and greasy back then and today, I truly believe Hungry Howies is a much more low key pizza chain to be reckoned with. I enjoy their deep dish pizza and assorted crust flavors. Sesame Chicken is unique. I highly recommend the Large Deep Dish style pizzas. Also, people at this location are kind. I am only giving them 4 stars in Atmosphere because for as long as I can remember, the parking lot is ridden with potholes and uneven surfaces. It is a conveniently located branch though! Highly recommend this place! Another Michigan-based Pizza Chain gem!!
