I have never had Hungry Howie’s this good before in my life!!! The Friday night staff on 6/27/2025 did an exceptional job! Timeliness, professionalism, and accuracy! I will continue to be a loyal customer if the presentation and taste continue to amaze me each time. The order was a Ham pizza w/sesame crust, three cheesier bread, and a chicken pizza w/tnt crust (new). Please try the new tnt crust also!!!

Sad to say this location has drastically fell to shit. The 1st incident were my order wasn’t made right 3 times in a row. It is very apparent that who ever is back there making orders can’t read and I’m not speaking figuratively either. This time I come to pick up my order 25 minutes after ordering online because it said it would be ready in 15 mins. Just to get there for them not to have even started on my order yet. Ok cool then I come 15 minutes later to get my order. The young lady looking awkward so I know something’s wrong. She go to the back for 3 or 4 minutes and I can over hear them arguing. She comes back says my order will be ready in 4 minutes. I come back five minutes later five minutes the young lady go to the back for another 3 to 4 minutes, then comes back and tells me that they made a mistake and gave my order to the wrong person and was trying to have me take the order that the other customer ordered. Over a here still not leave with any food for my children. I been going here’s since they been open this place has took a total dive.

basic Urban type store with no in-store seating! The counter person was quick personable and efficient! pizza came out piping hot within 15 minutes of my order! I found the pizza to be fresh crisp on the outside and soft on the inside! there was a decent ratio between cheese and sauce! I found the pizza to be decent and not overly sweet or salty! my only gripe with the pizza was that they were very skimpy with the sausage and the sausage was very bland and take away from the overall quality of the Pie!

Location 1533 East Lafayette/ Detroit. The pizza was horrible… pizza sauce was not cooked, slivers of lunch meat on a Deep Dish Works. Nasty!!! The garbage it went. I would not advise anyone to patronize this Hungry Howie’s. I wasted my money and my appetite for pizza. Thumbs down.,

Overall, I’m really happy with this place! I’m in town visiting and heard of this chain from a local friend. It was fun! They had interesting flavor combos. I got the Asian Chicken (without the chicken) and really liked it. My only critique was that the pizza had a bit too much sauce and they spilled some of the sauce and ingredients in the box so it was kind of a mess to eat (see pic). Overall, I would recommend and I would try them again. Also appreciated the size variety and the affordability.

Couldn’t chew through the chicken in my sub, got a ton of like cartilage chunks or something, and the cookie pie came over cooked and not cut. It’s hard as a rock. I couldn’t cut it. Tried scooping out a piece but it crumbled apart and was just gross. I guess you get low quality food and that’s why it’s cheap ♀️ Learned my lesson.

It seems that… You know what I’m thinking now… I think they’re outsourcing they’re answering service to very professional Indians, while the actual restaurant is still hiring locally.
Long story short, they NICKEL and Dime their customers. A small two topping pizza is currently $6.99, plus 6% sales tax in MI. But using Hungry Howie’s math, that adds up to $8.88(which is wrong).
Once this issue was corrected, I was charged $7.62. keep in mind my total should’ve been $7.41 with tax.
I asked about the discrepancy, and the young lady at the window responded “oh that’s the credit card fee”.
Just be mindful that they charge an addition 3% – 20% on orders and casually pass them off to unsuspecting customers.
Decent service. Good pizza. Bad policy.

I ordered on line at 1230. I ordered for a 1pm pick up. I get there at 115. No one came to counter to help me. They kept yelling 1 min. 1 min. After 3 min. I yelled out again. The manager came out, a little white guy. And got mad at me and said we r busy. My pizza was still Not ready. It was still in oven. Really? What’s the sense in ordering on line. I was on my lunch. I wasted my time. The manager was rude to me. Like I was bothering him.im a paying customer. Only person in store. I w never go there again. Do not patronize this unprofessional run store.
