Overall, this place is a little more like the kind of restaurant and service that I would expect in a small, country town than in a city like San Antonio, but the only disappointment was the price (which was already a bit steep, but surprised me more by the lack of a military discount). The hostess and servers were welcoming, friendly, and responsive. The food was piping hot and prepared exactly as we hoped! We will definitely come back.
The waitress looked like she didn’t even wanna work there, the manager was extremely rude considering the place is legit dead and there’s no customers at least be a little more grateful.
Talk about quantity over quality, big steak with no seasoning or flavor. I dunked it in A1 sauce and it still made no difference.
complained to the manager and she took the plate of chili from my son & said “you don’t deserve to eat this”
If I could give it a 0/5 I gladly will. This place sucks. Avoid it at all cost.
I’ve had better steaks at golden coral.
Bowl of salad looks like pre-made chopped salad mix (lettuce, shoe string carrots, 1 slice of pickle to garnish, and purple cabbage). Tastes like it wasn’t rinsed so had that powder flavor … like the way rubber gloves smells. Ranch is water based and barely any “ranch dressing”. Thousand Island is thick but taste like perfume and sugar.
Steaks are some of the worst I’ve seen in my life time. We both got the large t-bone, requested one to be cooked well and the other medium rare. One baked potato “fully loaded” the other steak fries. Steaks look blue to raw. Mainly full of fat and gristle. We didn’t send it back because the table next to us returned theirs twice and it was still raw. They also got chewed out by the manager in refusing to remove the uneaten meal from their ticket. They still had to pay for an untouched baked potato ($4.99) and an untouched salad I believe same price. She also made them feel guilty for not liking their meal and made it sound like it was their fault for the poor quality. I decided to not even try and complain.
Baked potato skin is not washed because there was visible dirt and Grit. For $.70 each you get a 1oz cup of shredded cheese that is half full of said 1 oz container and a tube of daisy sour cream. Steak fries have no type of seasoning.
Service nonexistent or if given very rude and unprofessional. The young man handing out the salad bowls threw ours on the table and I had to catch mine before it slid off. I couldn’t understand him and when I said, “I’m sorry what did you say?” He didn’t repeat and walked off (later to realize he asked which dressing we wanted). Needed extra napkins and had to ask four times to finally having a woman rudely bringing us a massive industrial brown paper towel roll to our table and saying, “this should satisfy you so you can stop asking for napkins.” I told her we wouldn’t have bothered you all multiple times if we had just received our two extra napkins when we first requested them. I found it hilarious but they were pissed off. We also had to get up to get our tea refilled… who knows who our waitress/waiter was?
The only nice person was the hostess.
Overall I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend you to come here. I don’t know how people can lie and say it was delicious when their plates were practically full when they left.
Total amount wasted: $86.78 for two
