We had a wonderful appetizer frenzy for lunch at this flavorful restaurant. All I can say is that we has our full of variety and it was absolutely delicious! The service was great. The drinks were good and be warned your mimosas won’t be served in a thin little flute glass with a spash of champagne. Lol thank goodness we walked the the restaurant from a friend’s house down the street.

What a nice, delicious discovery! While there’s a lot of choices on on Riverside Dr in Studio City, Hungry Crowd is one of the more interesting, unique restaurants there.

A blend of mostly Korean and American cuisine, you get the classic dishes like Bibimbap, as well as fusion twists like Kimchi Biscuit and Eggs Benedict with Bulgogi.

Sadly, I forgot to take a photo of the Kimchi Biscuit, but I have to say that this shareable appetizer is a must have and my favorite fish that we had! It’s a surprisingly complex blend of that Kimchi pickled tartness and sweetness from the cinnamon butter, along with some savoriness from the bacon and cheddar. It almost sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it’s nonetheless delicious!

The Eggs Benedict is also a very nice blend of Eastern and Western flavors that work together rather than compete with each other.

The Garlic Edamame with Garlic soy is pretty solid but not as big of a wow factor as the other dishes.

Lastly, the Bibimbap is pretty good, but I think it’s the least memorable. I want to say that I have had better versions of the dish at a more traditional Korean restaurant, so if anything, I’d explore the more fusion side of the menu here at Hungry Crowd next time.

This is such a wonderful homey place and great food. Because it’s a neighborhood go-to, I never think about reviewing! I highly recommend this American-Asian fusion. Today was Galbi Burger and kimchi fried rice. This is real food, they even make their own kimchi!

I’m going to start this review by saying I don’t like LA, but LA does have some good things going for it, and this restaurant is one of them! I was down from SF with my 13 year old son playing golf for the weekend when I came across this place on Google, and at first we were wishy-washy about it, but we thought what the hell. When we arrived and were told it was a 30 minute wait we almost bailed, and are we glad we didn’t, my son had the steak and eggs and I had the fried chicken and eggs. My son could not stop raving about it, and basically wiped the plate clean, mine was very unique in that the chicken skin was perfectly crispy while the inside was juicy and it was topped with a mushroom gravy that accentuated the flavor nicely and the eggs were cooked just right. All in all, one of the best breakfasts my son and I have had in a very long time! I mentioned to the gentleman that they needed a location in SF, he just smiled, patted me on the shoulder and said, “move to LA”. And trust me, I almost contemplated it. And I almost forgot, the people are extremely welcoming, and the service is excellent.

Great date night spot! Ambient lighting in the evening, a fun, diverse, shareable menu, fast and friendly service and tasty, nicely plated food. It’s not a huge place but it wasn’t crowded when we went. Outdoor seating has heaters if needed. Not a great place for kids, it’s a little too small for it to be a pleasant experience for everyone.

The salmon nachos and Japchae with bulgogi were good and easily shareable. Taco Tuesday tacos (choice of corn tortillas or lettuce wrapped) were pretty good, 4/5.

The desserts are actually made in house, gelato included! The Mango sorbet was really nice, perfect flavor with fresh mango on top. There was a cookie or something on the bottom, so just know to request it without it if you’re gluten free.
The banana dolce de leche gelato was , it caught me off guard! They put bruléed bananas on top for a really nice crunch and extra banana flavor. Highlyyy recommended.

Overall, I’ve had this place in mind to try for a while now so I had high expectations and I was happy with our experience. Don’t skip out on dessert, it was the best part! Gotta support the places making their own food and sauces!

Delicious Korean/American brunch food. Had the fried chicken biscuit plate once and the Galbi and egg another time. Both were fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, surprisingly appropriate portion sizes (hate when I have boxes of leftovers and feel sick), and a unique but cozy/comfort food menu. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. All around great experience. I’ll be back many more times.

I’ve been to Hungry Crowd a few times and I’ve genuinely enjoyed their food, especially the fresh and high quality vegetables. They prepare and cook their food well and the service is always great. They also have outdoor seating available on the street, but the inside is nicely decorated as well.

During my last visit, I ordered the tofu bibimbap in a hot stone. I realized afterwards that I made a mistake in not mixing together the bowl and moving things around immediately because all the brown rice at the bottom became burnt and dry. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Also be aware that parking in this area is quite tricky, so give yourself ample time to look for street parking in the side streets.

It’s been a while since i’ve wanted to write a review for a resturaunt. I’ll start off by saying that the Cajun Shrimp Tacos are AMAZING!! I could live the rest of my days only eating those. My partner had the Katsu burger and he absolutely loved it. From talking with a regular there we found out that the fries are delicous because they were fried in rice oil. The staff are very friendly as well. I’ll definitely be returning, what a gem of a resturaunt!
