This place is bustling at lunch time! If you’re looking for fried fish food on the water, this will scratch the itch. Very tasty, friendly staff, and great location. I ordered the combo to try a bit of everything. There may be a wait at peak hours so call ahead or plan accordingly.

Walk up counter to order your food. The claim chowder was good. My husband liked the fish tacos. The crab melt was enjoyed by my friend. The fish and chips looked delicious. My friend had them. I will be ordering them next time.

Be prepared to wait and wait and wait some more to get your food. I was told it was going to be 30 minutes to get my food. It was over an hour. Our food was overall good. Clam chowder, I’ve had better. The fried clams were excellent, I must say. The fish was very bland. Would I come here again, probably not because of how long you would have to wait to get the food.

We went on a Sunday and there was definitely a line, but the only other place I know that serves Clam Chowder in a Sourdough Bread bowl, is located in Crescent City, California.
We sat inside after ordering our meals and it was maybe a 10 minute wait before they brought out our food. But the Clam Chowder is Great! Very Rich and creamy and I got full before I even reached the bottom.

This is the spot. I love the clam chowder! The fish is always so fresh. If you’re lucky enough to sit outside on a nice day, that’s where it’s at! Nothing like a calm sea breeze, the seabirds cawing and good company. Such a cute tiny location.

This place definitely isn’t worth the wait. They have a sign on the door that says expect long wait times when busy, but they weren’t even that busy. They said it would be about 30 minutes, which I could have accepted.. it took OVER AN HOUR!! Not once did they check on us while we waited, or make any attempt to let us know about where we were in line. We finally asked one of the waitresses and all she could tell us was “it’s cooking, it’s being made.” Cut to another 15 minutes later and we finally got our food. It wasn’t even hot, it was warm at best. The fish was oily like it just came out of the fryer, but barely warm and fell apart. The BLT had 1.5 strips of bacon across the entire sandwich. The only halfway decent thing was the biscuits and clam chowder. I don’t visit the coast all too often, but the next time I do I’ll definitely avoid this place. I’d rather drive 30 minutes south to Crescent City and eat at Fisherman’s.

Great place to eat! We stayed in Brookings and wanted local, this place is it! The Fresh Haddock was excellent! The fried scallops were large and great flavor! The Fried Calamari might have been the best we have ever had, large meaty pieces that you never get in regular restaurants. Fries and coleslaw were great. Sate outside and really enjoyed it!

Themed spot with outdoor and indoor seating and next to a gift shop. Staff were very friendly from arrival to departure and the food was delicious and fresh. The clam chowder was wonderfully creamy and thick with a healthy amount of clams, the fish melt had a generous portion and just the right amount of cheese, and the tots were fried to perfection.
