This is a regular lunch spot for me! To start, they have a great lunch special for take out and dining in, as well as a dinner special (an entree and appetizer for $20). The Chicken Tikka Masala is the best. I highly recommend trying their biriyani, chicken samosas, and paneer sagwala (as a vegetarian option). I go at least a couple times a month and have never been disappointed.

Our group of four dined in. The restaurant was empty except for folks who had called in and were doing take out.

This is the best Indian food I have had in New York City! The Restaurant has a large menu to choose from. I have had dishes such as the very popular Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Achaari, Garlic Naan, Spinach and Cheese Naan. The portion of my dish was a good size because I was full after eating. The food was super delicious and my friends agreed. I am looking forward to going back.

Food is great. They are eager to serve you. Service is also great. Curry chicken for the win, creamy and yummy. The spice level is white folk approved. If you like it spicy let them know and they spice it up. You can tell from the taste that this is made fresh food. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, it’s small and the booths are tacky, but I’m not there for the chic decor. I’m there for the food. The store is almost always empty, looks like they do a lot of takeout/delivery orders. That could be fixed with an updated decor.

This food portion is really disappoint. I order butter chicken and Rogan josh also more dish. They came in a very small bow with barely eight pieces of meat in each and it cost $14 and $16 for each. We have 4 people to share and we have to try hard for find enough 2 pieces of meat per person. We pay over $80 for this so it super disappoint for us. Never order this anymore .

A real gem in the Bronx. If it was located in Jackson Heights, Parkchester or Curry Hill, Hungry Bird would still be the best one of the lot. The Bronx does a lot of things well; Asian food is NOT one of those things, hence this has been a surprising find.
