Hunan Wok III

I’m a vegetarian and it really takes a lot to impress me. This is my 1st time eating at this restaurant. I did take out and it was absolutely delicious . I tried the New Vegetable Pad Thai its rice noodles, dried tofu, onions, peanuts, scallions, carrots, and bean sprouts . Until I read this I thought it was crisp Bok Choy . It was so delicious. This menu is so large everyone can be happy with this menu.

This place is one of the best take out places in NJ. Reasonable prices and excellent food! Some of my favs are the wings, bbq spare ribs, and the chicken and broccoli never disappoints! Hungry on a Sunday night ordered from this joint… Worst, worst Chinese food I have ever gotten.. Fried rice was not fried it was mushy wet white rice with lil yellow color uncooked shrimp and very lil veggies.. very sub par food and a waste of money

For years this take-out restaurant had excellent Chinese food. Unfortunately, this business was sold to a new owner, and, or, the previous cooks are no longer there. The food has gone downhill!
The egg rolls are smaller, the fried rice was wet and gloppy, the Happy Family entree lost its delicious flavor and sauce. It was all liquid on the bottom, the dish had less meat and vegetables and wasn’t nearly as good as the previous ones. Also, the prices have gone up.
Place has declined and I won’t be going back.

Delivery very late, soup gloppy, veg fried rice no flavor, fried veg dumplings doughy and almost nothing inside, steamed shrimp dumplings heavy and flavorless. Really disappointed. Some of the worst Chinese food ever.
Westfield is in desperate need of good ChineS. This is shamefully bad.

The Hunan Wok in Westfield is my go to Chinese takeout restaurant. I have ordered from here since the middle of 2023 and the food is wonderful every time. I am on a gluten-free diet and my husband is vegetarian; they have always been very accommodating. The delivery is quick and the ladies on the phone are always respectful. Highly recommend.

Edit: It is incredibly disheartening to see so many poorly-written negative reviews. I cannot stress how grateful I am for a Chinese takeout restaurant in such close proximity. Please support these people.

First time ordering and I was really satisfied with all my food. Delivery was quick and my food was fresh and not salty at all. I do wish my shrimp was spicy tho because that’s what I ordered but maybe a different sauce would have more tang. I will be ordering again !!!

Fly in food cleaned food containers used to clean counters FLY in Shrimp fried rice veggies were hard and shrimp mushy this BEFORE finding the fly! The worst part is they refused to give me my money back because they thought that I wanted to eat the other food that I ordered after finding the fly! Zero stars if I could. I will continue to update this post as I still haven’t gotten my money back. Not to mention, the woman was picking something off the top of my rice with her fingers before she closed it! JUST GROSS!
