I don’t like to bash family owned restaurants. My last experience was DISGUSTING! I ordered five dishes, and the 2 dishes with beef were downright swill, spoiled, BAD! Not to be confused with “I didn’t like it” … but bad, as in “ROTTEN”!
All restaurants have good and bad days, but in the past year there are way too many bad days.
As a regular customer, I very kindly informed them without any expectations, but her response was of doubt and then dismissive, with no follow up.
The owners were never warm & accommodating if something is not to customers liking, but their arrogance lately is a complete turn off. I’ve tolerated grotesque cheapness for many years), but when the food becomes grotesque, it needs to be told, especially when it literally smelled and tasted like an alley way.
If you go, only risk it on Friday/Saturday when more chances the food is fresh. Otherwise, they use old food, and apparently to the point where instead of throwing it in the garbage, they decide to still cook and sell it – truly pitiful. Hence why some reviews are glowing – but make no mistake, better than 50% chance you’ll hit a bad / gross dish

We have been loyal customers of Hunan Village 2 for years but will never order from them again because of our delivery experience this evening. At 6:12 we placed an order for a 6:30-6:45 delivery. The confirmation email we received repeated this delivery time.
When the food had not yet arrived at 7:15, I called the restaurant. The woman I spoke to said that we should always call the restaurant to find out how long a delivery would take, and that we would be better off choosing pickup instead of delivery. She did not apologize for the delay, but acted as if it was my fault for expecting the order to arrive on time.
She also said we should expect our meal by 7:30. I am writing this review at 7:49, and we are still waiting.

I am from Taiwan for a business trip and my friend invites me to have a Chinese food. Be honest, surprised me that I can have such a great Chinese food in US/NewYork area. For sure, you will enjoy the food here with your family or friends~

Had visited this restaurant after a lot of deliberation seeing some of the recent negative reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised with not only the taste and quality of the food, but with cozy atmosphere and warm service. We ordered the hunan chicken, dumplings, salt n pepper prawns and lo mein, and everything was spot on.. They served a dip with their dumplings which nothing like we had ever tasted before, yummy food!

New go to restaurant for GF Chinese in Westchester County. Love the selections that you can customize. It is convenient to walk in from the back. And nice that you can have a view of the super clean kitchen. Slightly awkward walking in the back of building with the dumpsters- so 4 stars for atmosphere because it is not super fancy in that way – I suppose they can’t control that though! Overall excellent experience, really really appreciated how the team checked in on us. And the food was so fresh. Yum!

The food is amazing. I ordered the vegetable e-noodle, a lamb dish, and tingling chicken. It was all delicious! Equally important was the service. It seems to be a family run business and everyone is just really sweet. Will be back!

We’ve been eating at or having take out from here for almost 2 years. Never a complaint until today. The pork fried rice had no pork, egg or vegetables just rather old dried out rice. What a disappointment. We’ve had fried rice before and it was always very good. This was not good.
