This is a good restaurant. The wait staff is incredible. They’re so friendly and attentive and I always want to help you and please you in any way. The food was very good. There’s no question they know what they’re doing there. It’s not inexpensive by any means but it is very tasty and I would highly recommend Hunan Gardens

Good food $$ we got several dishes. The orange sesame chicken was very sticky and too sweet. The pieces were very small and much more batter than chicken. The pork noodle dish was ok. The steamed veggies were good. The soup comes with the lunch but they charge extra for soup Sweet & Sour, silly. My diet coke was almost $5.00. For one can.
Unfortunately l will go back to my regular place. See photos.

First they were a half hour later than they said that they would be. They said they would call me back and they didn’t they get here and I had ordered The chicken and broccoli and it tasted like they made fish with it. It was absolutely disgusting. I feel like going there and just dropping it off at their front door. I don’t even want my money back. They can keep my money cause I don’t think they’ll be in business much longer terrible disgusting disgusting disgusting and smells like a sewage

We started with some soup. Very nice Wonton soup, reminisant of NY style.
On the table is spicy mustard, duck sauce and they bring a pot of Tea.
The wonton soup had an aboundance of pork and scallions.
Also on the table are fried wide soup noodles.
All was good. The egg rolls came out with the spare ribs as apps.
The ribs were just ok not the best I have had, and the egg roll was taste the outside a little thick but fine.
We then received our main dishes I had the double saute which was shrimp and chicken with a side of pork fried rice. All was good for Florida chinese. As close to NY style I have found in a while.
Service was excellent! Two sections to the dining room.

I used to love this place but the quality has severely deteriorated. The food is hit or miss taste-wise and portions keep shrinking while getting more expensive. They don’t seem to care about any complaints or trying to get back to serving good food again. Short cuts abound. Tonight was the last time they will get a dime out of me. The chicken chow fun was horribly bland, had few vegetables and sported a funky fishy smell and taste. I think it or something in it was spoiled or on on the cusp of spoilage. I’m done eating there.

I moved to Florida from New York three years ago. I thought Hunan Gsrden’s food was acceptable after trying others. The owners are very rude and crude. I decided to place an order for take out. I ordered chicken lo mein and chicken with broccoli. I specifically said to the young man who took the order, that I requested extra white sauce on the chicken with broccoli and extra sauce on the side. I even prefaced that I did not want a dry dish with sauce on the side but a dish with sauce in it and sauce on the side. He said he understood. Well, when I picked up my order, I checked the order. It was totally dry with sauce on the side. I tried to explain this to the many people that were in the front of the restaurant and the really rude short Chinese msn was so rude. He said that’s the way it is. He actually put his hand in the air to fluff me off. The usual male owner was not present. After speaking to his wife, she finally gave in and went back to the kitchen to give me what I ordered and wanted. Obviously, something odd is going on with this establishment. By the way, the lo mein had hardly any chicken in it. They were thin hard pieces of chicken. Usually, both owners are rude. Now, they’ve hired help that is extremely rude and crude. Don’t waste your money going to this restaurant. They don’t deserve your money!!!!

Walking in, I immediately was torn between remembering Lichee Gardens in Plainfield NJ and a Seinfeld episode. It felt like 1965, and I was loving it. That, and the fact that I, unlike most of the patrons, had neither an aide or a walker.
Reservations fill rapidly, and while walk-ins are welcome, be prepared to wait. You’ll definitely meet someone you know while waiting.
The service was exemplary, especially given how busy they were. The food was good. Of note were the steamed dumplings, homemade and cooked to perfection. That, and the soup, could have made a meal. Speaking of soup, we got the hot and sour soup. Well I can’t say it’s as good as Mott street, I can say that it was pretty close. Perhaps a little too much sodium, certainly not enough, but that was easily fixed with hot oil and white vinegar, which they happily brought. What I wanted for dinner was a shredded chicken with hot peppers. Well that’s what I ordered, but it isn’t quite what I got. Instead what I wound up receiving was a chicken with celery and carrots that was quite tasty, but not what I was after. Because they were so busy, I decided to let it go and just enjoy the food. My partner got spare ribs, which she said we’re out of this world.
While I would not ever say it was as good as going to Chinatown in new york, but it wasn’t bad for 15 minute drive. I’ll be back…

I had a terrible experience at Hunan Gardens. We ordered because our usual spot was closed, but it was a mistake. I paid $35 for what was supposed to be a 1.5-pound lobster, but it was tiny, with barely any meat. The house lo mein tasted good, but it had almost no chicken or shrimp at all. To make matters worse, they forgot to bring the lettuce for my lettuce wraps. When I called, they eventually brought it, but the manager I spoke to was rude and indifferent to my concerns. I will never order from here again and certainly wouldn’t recommend it.

I must say this is properly the number one Chinese restaurant down in south Florida. Must give it a try. Old fashion

This establishment the food is twice price of any Chinese take out restaurant, but the food is horrible. They put some bad ground “meat” in the hot and sour soup, it smells stink, tastes disgusting, I threw all of it. $20 Beef chow fun is even more expensive than New York, and the portions is much smaller. Dumplings are small and not tasty. $60 for: stink soup, little dumplings, fried rice and chow fun.
