I was in the mood for Chinese food and decided to give Hunan Garden 2 a try. From the outside, the place looks a little rough, and the interior is very basic. There’s one table and the rest of the space is wide open, so it’s clearly more focused on takeout than dine-in. That said, where this place truly shines is in the food.
We called in our order ahead of time, and when I arrived, I was greeted by a young lady who appeared to be the owner’s daughter. I told her who I was and what I was there to pick up, and she was very kind, polite, and welcoming. She even asked if we needed any extra sauces before going straight to work gathering our order.
We ordered beef lo mein, beef fried rice, sesame chicken, and vegetable fried rice. The portions were large, very filling, and well worth the price. The flavors were bold, fresh, and absolutely delicious—everything tasted like it was made with care.
As long as you’re planning to take your food home, Hunan Garden 2 is a great choice for anyone in the area looking for satisfying Chinese food with generous portions and great flavor.

The Szechuan Chicken was extremely underwhelming. 90% of the dish was i think cabbage and the flavor was very odd(personal preference) and the chicken had a wet consistency like it was boiled and set in water. The picture makes it look good but don’t be fooled. Those aren’t noodles in the pic either.

Ordered orange chicken with fried rice. The orange chicken was a soggy mess. Sause was awful and the breading on the chicken was soggy. Will not be returning ever. Thank you hunan 2 for teaching me a lesson.

Food was barely warm. The pork wontons were old, breading was chewy and hard, no flavor. The hot and sour soup was not spicy or sour! Such a disappointment and the chicken and broccoli while a great portion was not very flavorful. If you dont want or like flavor this place is for you. But I want more authentic flavors and spices.

I made the call in order at 6:42 and was told it would be 15 mins. I went in told them I was there and saw 4 people enter and leave before me including the lady that ordered in person at 6:50pm. I didn’t get my food until 7:18pm. Before tonight service was on point but tonight there was an exceptional wait and it was unfair that I called in and received my food last.

Coming to this restaurant was not a good experience in the slightest. We came with my grandmother to celebrate my father’s birthday, and the service was horrible and the food was sub-par. When we were seated, nobody came to take our order for 20 minutes, despite us being the only patrons in the entire restaurant. The waitress brought us drinks, took our order, and was generally very apathetic and rude throughout the entire encounter. Another group came in and were seated shortly after, and got their food at the same time my grandmother and father did. But my food? It took another ten minutes to get. We tried to flag our waitress down by saying “excuse me ma’am?” and her immediate response was “It’s coming,” without even looking at us or coming over to the table. When the food came out, it was lukewarm, and not what I had ordered. I ordered pepper steak, and what I was given definitely was NOT pepper steak. The fried rice was bland and had no flavor, the steak was tough and chewy, and the sauce it was in made it and the onions/peppers it was with very slimy and added no flavor or texture. Not a damn bite of pepper in the entire dish.
The only reason I’m not giving one star is the environment was pretty, despite our waitress repeatedly vacuuming while we were trying to have a conversation.

We ordered online and was given a pickup time. When we arrived, we were told that they didn’t have our order so we had to wait on the order to be prepared. When we received the order and got home with it, it was awful. Our egg rolls were very tough so we broke them open and there was nothing but a couple of pieces of bland cabbage inside. The Mongolian beef was mainly onions with very little beef. The beef that was in it was of cheap quality and very bland. The cashew chicken was very bland and of cheap quality meat. After eating a little bit of it, it started making us feel sick and left us with a bad taste. Would definitely not recommend this restaurant. We will never return.

I don’t enjoy posting negative reviews however this place was really awful. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, Sesame chicken, general tsos and lo mein. All of the dishes were tasteless. Sweet and sour chicken was dry. Horrible. Will never order from here again. We couldn’t even eat the food.
