I am writing to formally address a serious issue with my recent order.
Yesterday, I ordered the beef and broccoli with white rice and egg rolls. We had leftovers, which I brought to work today. While reheating the food, I discovered a paper clip at the bottom of the container. This presents a significant safety concern, as metal in food could have caused injury or damaged the microwave.
I called the restaurant to report the issue, and unfortunately, the interaction was very disappointing. The woman I spoke with, who may have been the owner, accused me of lying and claimed I had the wrong restaurant. I explained that I had the receipt and even provided proof of the credit card charge. Despite this, she remained hostile and unprofessional. She insisted the container was not one they use and told me to bring the food in.
When I brought the food back, the young man at the front was polite, apologetic, and professional. However, when he informed an older gentleman about the situation, the older man became extremely angry and rude.
Had this situation been handled with professionalism and concern, my review would have reflected that. Instead, I was met with hostility over a legitimate safety issue. I hope you take this matter seriously and address both the food safety concern and the way this complaint was handled.

It’s pretty good. Plenty of parking space. Unlike many other Chinese places, this is clean. Food is great also.

Nice people that work there and all, but it pains me to say that the chicken dishes were like rubber, and everything was drenched in soy sauce. That being said, I have super high standards for Chinese food. The restaurant would be out of business if it were located in Chinatown /Flushing in NYC, DC, SF, or Honolulu. Check out the pictures I posted for a forray into the “brown food group” that is pervasive at Hunan Family.

I came here for the first time owners are friendly , but the food quality and taste is poor. I would recommend Chinese food at the food court in the mall. The bourbon chicken was rubbery and seemed like like old meat. They only sell pork egg rolls. Shrimp fried rice had no flavor very dry. I won’t be returning

I ordered 4 different dishes last night for myself and my husband. We ordered alot so that he can take some leftovers to work that night as well as we can eat it next day. (Im pregnant and barely cooking so togo is best options for us)
It was all fine until my husband was eating kungpao chicken and found the green bell pepper with the vegetable sticker still on there. I can only imagine nothing was washed… this was definitely unacceptable..

I’ve been coming to this place for a few months now, and it’s quickly become one of my go-to spots for quick, flavorful Chinese food. The menu is full of classics — General Tso’s Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, Lo Mein, Fried Rice — and they do most of them really well.

Everything was terrible. I complained after one bite of each item and they refused to listen – just argued with me. So save yourself the hassle. Order or go to a different restaurant. They used to be great – but not anymore!

Ridiculously overpriced! 2 entrees, and some appetizers was $93.. Food was not that good … shrimp was breaded to look bigger than it was (so of course it was even worse when reheating) … tails left on the shrimp … egg rolls are small and seemed meatless .. The only reason I gave 2 stars was the crab Rangoon was not fried to briquette and they did include the sweet and sour sauce.

Hard working, courteous people who make good Chinese food. Good vegetarian and veggie options here, as well. We’ve ordered twice from Hunan Family already. The staff was really mindful in terms of packing the crispy eggplant pieces and sauce separately, so that the pieces didnt become soggy whilst traveling home.
