The wontons were very disappointing – takeout was just a cup of lumpy dough that wasn’t held together in a soup of sauce – not at all what you would expect from a wonton. Could hardly even tell one piece from another, they were falling apart so much. Vegan chicken was dry and fibrous. Other Chinese places have great vegan chicken, I don’t know how this place makes theirs but it’s like eating cardboard. Vegetarian-labeled items sometimes contained meat. My partner thought his beef chow fun was ok though.

I’m pregnant and was really looking forward to trying something new. I saw the Szechuan Chicken online and it looked like a fresh stir fry with broccoli, peppers, and baby corn. I ordered through their website, drove over to pick it up, and what I got was nothing but chicken, a mountain of carrots, a couple onions, and zero flavor. Completely bland, nothing like the picture, and honestly a waste of money. I left disappointed and went to bed hungry.

I ordered Hunan Chicken and asked if it could be made without corn starch. They said yes. When I got home, it turns out, they made it without Hunan sauce! If you can’t make Hunan Chicken without corn starch, just say so… Hunan Chicken without Hunan sauce is NOT Hunan Chicken.
In addition to not having Hunan sauce it also did not have any: straw mushrooms, bamboo shoots, water chestnut or snow peas. This is just not Hunan at all!

Food is good but order online with caution. I showed up to pick up an order placed and paid for online which apparently never made it to the restaurant. Despite having the confirmation, the restaurant would not honor the order. I had to pay yet again and they called their vendor to ask for a refund. Before I left I was told if I had no refund within a week they would refund me themselves. Over a week later and still no refund. When I returned they pushed me off to deal with their vendor rather than honoring their commitment to me. Their vendor should not be the customer’s problem.

This is, IMO, the most reliable and tasty American-Chinese spot in the area. I know folks who have been coming here for 20+ years, apparently! Don’t expect frills or fancy atmosphere, but the take-out is on point every time at a reasonable price. Go to order is shrimp toast, Cleopatra chicken (more upscale sweet and sour), shrimp fried rice, and bean curd mixed veggies. I will say the egg foo young and dumplings are also solid!

Interestingly enough, I had a rather bad allergic reaction earlier in the day that it called for some soup.
I stopped here after making several deliveries for them to grab myself something before I call it a night.
A quart of wonton soup with house made crunchy noodles and some cho cho beef. Everything was very hot and tasty. I really liked the cho cho beef. Thick juicy grilled slices of marinated beef on a skewer.
A must try. Very friendly and efficient staff.

Update: Changed my three stars to one star due to the last visit resulting in a food borne illness after a long hiatus.
This place has been a hit or miss for me. Some days the food is really good, some days it’s not. Today it was not so great. Two orders of fried wings & all burnt. The rice was also quite salty.
