I’ve seen this restaurant for years and never stopped in until yesterday, mannn have I been missing out!! The best Asian food I’ve had in the valley! The restaurant is much bigger than I expected and the owners were amazing, super friendly atmosphere and kid friendly environment. They offer several vegetarian options and the serving sizes were huge, we had plenty left to take home and enjoy a second time! Don’t sleep on this place like I did, its a new favorite for Monte Vista!

Party of 4, 2 people’s food came out 10 minutes before the other 2. Sauce was a little thin but food was tasty. Server was not very knowledgeable but she was nice. Fried rice was good.

After a VERY mediocre meal at Jan’s in Buena Vista, we were worried about the great reviews here. There aren’t a lot of choices in Monte Vista and this is the only Chinese place. We were very pleasantly surprised.
Decor is like most Chinese places, and the dining room was pretty full for a week day – always a good sign. Our crab wontons were great – piping hot with a lovely delicate filling and crispy. Sauce we very good as well.
I ordered sake and was disappointed it didn’t come warm as is the custom. Dinners were great. Chicken lo mein was tasty – noodles were perfect al dente. Our vegetarian had a huge plate of veggie lo mein which she somehow managed to polish. It was delicious – veggies were nice and crunchy, and the sauce was very tasty. Our 11 year old had cashew chicken which also received thumb’s up. The orange chicken was excellent – breading was light and very crispy with a nice “not too sweet” sauce. Even the side spring roll was outstanding – very hot, very fresh tasting with a perfect crispy wrapper.
Service was very attentive and efficient, and they have Stella on draft – bonus!
Evidently they do a big lunch buffet which we were too late for, but the regular dinner menu is outstanding. If we could give it 4.5 stars, we would.

Pretty legit for a small town Chinese Buffet. Two less stars. One for Hot and Sour was not hot nor sour.( Burnt) Really no salad bar to speak of but lettuce and room temp dressings. Kinda sad. But the Orange Chicken and Egg Rolls was crisp fresh and good. Fruit and dessert on point.

My husband ordered Chinese buffet (terrible food) and I had the sushi. Was told they would have to page the owner/sushi chef because he wasn’t in. We waited and waited when he finally came in I told the waitress to tell him that I complained. He said if i didn’t like it i could go else where. I will be going down the street to Thai Hut from now on. They have better Sushi anyway.

I mean it. We ate their just recently and it was the epitome of disgusting. You pay too much for too much food that honestly was not spectacular. On top of that, a member of the party got so sick that they had to be hospitalized. Other members are not doing so hot either. If you’re passing through, avoid this restaurant. Normally, we eat Chinese and it is not sitting well with anyone.

This place hit the spot!!! We have been snowboarding all day and needed some take out. We got 3 good vegan options and ate everything! I’d recommend it to anyone.

It’s actually China Garden now but they’re using the same number as listed above. It’s a bit on the pricey side but still good food, nothing spectacular. We have yet to try the lunch buffet, we usually order carry out but a word of advice, if you order carry out make sure you get there right away. Steam will build up in the bowls when closed and will make the food soggy. Yuck!

I gave this place 3 stars only because of cocktails. They are horrible!!! I did try Coconut Punch and Scorpion and all of them were very very salted! Watch out !! It was disgusting. I didn’t dare try ever one of my favorites because as server said “it’s Chinese style and there are some differences in preparation “. Food is good but alcohol drinks awful.
