Hunan Chef serves some of the best Chinese food(for this area) in my opinion. They have consistently provided me with the best version of the dishes served in this area and will always be my go to for county based Chinese food when I’m here.
However, they have very bad soup. For all the good they do on food, it is not worth it to order any kind of soups, that includes wonton, egg drop, just don’t do it!
If you need them to deliver it can be a bit pricey. They will not deliver for any orders below $15 which can be a lot for one person and by the time you’ve reached that quota you may find yourself spending about $20 on your lunch for the day.

We ordered several dishes for delivery from Hunan Chef and were very disappointed with the taste and quality. I ordered the General Tso chicken and wondered if an old hen had been cooked as it was so difficult to chew. The dish also lacked any flavor. A dish of scallops and black bean sauce was tasteless and swimming in liquid. I do not intend to order from this restaurant again. Sara

Spent about $37 and I probably should of order less. The food was horrible. Fried rice was burnt, wor won ton soup only had won tons which had no flavor, spicy beef was barely tolerable, salt and pepper prawns was the only dish that was edible. Will never recommend this place.

I love the food when it’s good but it can be inconsistent. I recommend fried doughnuts, which are always great, & the Kung Pao chicken, which can be different every time but is usually good. I would give the food 3-4 stars. Unfortunately the cashier is a miserable woman looking for company. She goes between standoffish and downright nasty.

The food at this location was average American chinese food. It wasn’t great and it wasn’t bad. I had the general tso chicken and my husband had the mongolian beef. Bother were decent but the hot and sour soup was really good. we do appreciate that this restaurant gives the crunchy crackers with your meal though. Our search for great American chinese food continues.

I ordered the spicy chicken and spare ribs( $25 worth of food )everything was super super salty. They cut the chicken into extremely tiny pieces and i the “spare ribs” where thin slices of meat . if i could give negative stars i would. Food was trash !!!!

This place is ridiculous. I will never order from here again. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with a vegtable egg roll. They bring me a container of broccoli with 3 pieces of chicken and an egg roll with white stuff in it. I called about my order the lady said oh well next time i thought you said chicken and broccoli.i said no i want my sweet and sour chicken and she said oh well again next time. I understand their both chicken but how do you get that out of me saying sweet and sour chicken.

Quite possibly the worst orange chicken i have ever had. There was little chicken, lots of breading and the oil it was fried in tasted like it hadnt been changed in a while. The egg roll that came with the dinner combo tasted of the same bad oil and was super greasy. After having those two, i didnt even want to touch the doughnuts i ordered. The hot and sour soup was delivered lukewarm and it was just a little bit of spicy heat and was overall pretty bland. Never ordering from here again.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD, EXTREMELY RUDE OLD WOMAN TAKING ORDERS. STAY AWAY. After an extremely rude and rushing order we received warm, cheap tasting so called Chinese food. Tasted old very small portions and did not even come with a small white rice after spending over $40. Not falling for this low class joint ever again.

I’ll be posting a picture too. Not only customer service is bad. But the sesame chicken had a black hair in it when I bite into it ! This is horrible and took me a long time to stop puking to be able to look at the picture again to post it! I do not recommend unless of course you like nasty customer service and “MYSTERY HAIR” then by all means, this is your place for certain !
