A quick stop in for lunch with my team. It was their choice for lunch and to be honest it was good. The selections were many and they appeared to be fresh.
My favorites were the General Tso Chicken, Sesame Chicken, & Dumplings. The other options I chose were also fresh & hot!
I did choose the vanilla ice cream & almond cookies at the end. Our server was attentive and removed our plates promptly.
Although my travels might not take me back to Ponca City I must admit I do like a good buffet! If you’re in the mood for a Chinese Buffet this might be an option.

My kid has an msg allergy but loves your food. However, your one waitress who wears heavy makeup, ALWAYS gets a huffy attitude when we ask for no msg. An attitude so big, I watched her go get his food from the bar (with my own eyes) & try to serve it to my son with the severe allergy. SMH. Do better. He did infact have an outbreak after leaving so we will not ever be back. You should take your customers allergens more seriously, especially being a child. It would be way different if it was one of your kids.

Always love coming here. The food tastes and looks good! The shrimp were new which I was super happy about, although they could’ve cleaned them a little better. We always go at 11am while the food is still hot and they first open. Staff is always friendly and welcoming

PROS: I live 45 minutes to the east, in Pawhuska so when I’m running errands in Ponca City, I always dine here. I’ve never been met with an unpleasant staff member. The servers are always smiling, happy and do their best to get you seated if there is a line. Why they never include a spoon with the cutlery is a bit of a mystery but I’m not going to ding them for that. They’re also on top of refilling my beverage which is always a plus so 5 stars for the current wait staff.
CONS: The buffet is never HOT. It’s not necessarily cold either, just a little warm. The Chinese food isn’t nearly as good as the Chinese buffets in Tulsa but it’s still decent enough, especially the Sesame Chicken and egg rolls. I do get a kick in seeing the okra on the buffet. You would only see that at an Oklahoma Chinese restaurant. The dessert cookies are REALLY, REALLY good. Another thing: a lot of the menu items are cooked really, really bland, not enough spice & kick in them. That might also be due to them not being as warm as they should be so for overall quality of food, I’m only going to give them 3 stars out of 5.
It’s a shame Ponca doesn’t have another Chinese buffet opening up soon if only to light a fire under Hunan’s butt and inspire them to do better. It’s a nice little restaurant and like I said, “decent enough” food, they just need to take things to the next level and instead of being “good,” be “excellent.” Maybe some day.

This was my first time coming here with my grandma and it was so good, i 100% recommend, great food and great service very happy even took some to go, will be back for sure!

The selection for a buffet was ridiculously miniscule and most of the dishes were overcooked or fish based my partner had to nitpick to find stuff she could eat and as a non fussy eater was a bizarre thing to see £36 for a plate each as there was no appealing foods was a joke

My favorite chinese buffet, because I also love okra and fried chicken. There is such a great variety and options for kids and adults alike. If you’re in the mood for great food and atmosphere unlike other buffets, this is your place!

My experience everytime is great! The food is tasty, the building is exceptionally clean, and the employees have an altruistic attitude. Though some of the waiters/waitresses are young, they are experienced and do a great job. The food is prepared well and fresh. The staff does a good job of maintaining the restrooms clean. I always enjoy coming here. The pond with lily pads and koi fish is really cool. I think that is one of the best things the restaurant has.
