I can’t possibly explain how great this place is. Excellent food, the best most attentive waitresses I’ve ever encountered, incredibly low prices, and delicious food. The building itself has wonderful atmosphere, and is always full of customers. Breakfast and lunch menu is extensive, and varied. We will now be regulars here, and I’d seriously recommend this excellent restaurant.

Had the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast at Humpty Dumpty Kitchen and it really hit the spot. The steak was crispy and tasty, eggs were done just right, and the pancake was really good. Washed it down with a mimosa, no complaints there! The service was awesome too, really friendly and on top of things. Great way to start the day.

I would actually rate the service higher but I need my rating to come out to 1 star due to the fact that the food was not edible. I would do 0 stars if it were an option. The food was terrible!! One of my daughters ordered French toast and it just tasted like bread, the syrup was not any kind of syrup I’ve ever seen, it was the consistency of Elmer’s glue, or resin, and not sweet at all. My other daughter ordered pancakes, she said they tasted gross so I tasted them, and yes they were gross! The bacon was half raw, and my corned beef hash did not have corned beef. Instead it had some sort of paste mystery meat inside it, I couldn’t even eat it. I had taken a couple bites and my stomach started to hurt immediately. To top it off the bill was $92.00! Expensive inedible food. We won’t be going there again.

Love the vibes and staff and most of all the food. Atmosphere was great seemed like a lot of local spot in the morning for breakfast and coffee. The sever was the best she was all alone and handle all the tables herself, I was amazed (not just by her beauty) but her politeness and her attention to detail. She never forgot or lagged. She was on point. My hats off to her and. The establishment. Stop by here if your ever near by.

Ordered a bacon waffle with chocolate chips to split with my 5 y/o. Each had hot chocolate. Received a PECAN waffle with chocolate chips. $36! And it took forever to get our food. Hot chocolate is a tiny cup for $4.50! I could buy a whole box of hot chocolate for that price. I’m disappointed and feel totally ripped off.

Humpty Dumpty Kitchen has been family owned since 1960. It started as a hamburger and ice cream stand in downtown Grass Valley. They provide quality food and good service at reasonable prices. Humpty Dumpty Kitchen is a true success story built on family, the food they cook, the service they provide and the pride and love from their loyal customers. The taco salad hit the spot. Totally disgusting. All of the hostess totally have no idea what they are doing. It’s like watching a bunch of headless chickens run around. Went in there the other day with my husband and kids, and the host asked for our drinks as she was seating us and totally forgot to give them to us. We eventually got them but by that time our food was already out and we had to remind our waitress!!! So disappointing. Doesn’t really seem like the new owners have any idea what they are doing. Sad because this has been the best place in town for years but is slowly going through a down hill spiral.
