Among 5 BBQ restaurants we tried during our recent trip to Texas, this one is the best! The beef brisket is very tender and flavorful, and the pork rib, sausage, and turkey are also cooked to perfection. Will definitely return here next time I visit Texas. Del Rio was not on the planned route of my next trip, but I will take a detour and spend 2 more hours on the road just for the sake of dining here again!

Been eating in Del Rio for 50 years and I can honestly say this the best bbq and food in town. Texas twinkies are awesome. Brisket is the best I’ve had in a long time. Pulled pork is the best. Sweet heat bbq should be illegal it’s so good! Awesome job guys!!!

Thier food is new. The way the cook remakes classics is very thought out. I had a great conversation with him about Humo Slaw. He created a Coleslaw that is extremely light, but with him explaining the ingredients and what he was going for ” a light kind of palet cleanser” well he nailed it. It was delicious. The brisket is always delicious. The pork belly unmatched. All the sides Mac and cheese was lip smacking. The white potato salad remade Humo style was great! The green beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned sweet with a hint spicy. Jalapeno creamed corn not too spicy but very creamy with charged bits of corn.
Worth the price

Absolutely phenomenal BBQ — worth every bite! I was in town for business and stopped by Humo Prime Barbecue for a late lunch – and WOW, I’m so glad I did. I ordered the three-meat plate with brisket, ribs, and sausage, along with the creamed corn and beans, and let me tell you… I ate every single bite. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the brisket was juicy and flavorful, and the sausage had just the right amount of spice. The sides were just as impressive – that creamed corn was dreamy and the beans were packed with flavor. Everything was cooked to perfection and served with care. It was hearty, delicious, and totally hit the spot. If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and GO. This is Texas BBQ done right!

We showed up late on a Wednesday to Humo but it was still an absolute treat. Wednesday is burger & sandwich day and it’s 100% worth the trip for a great lunch. Can’t wait to go back and order off the full BBQ menu. We got a sausage sandwich and a pork loin sandwich both were excellent. Perfect level of spice on both that took them to another level. Everyone at Humo was very friendly and accommodating as well. Highly recommended.

This place is relatively new, but they’re definitely getting more popular! The staff greet you when you come in and say bye when you leave, you can sample the sides to make sure you like it before you order, the brisket is amazing, and they house make the pickles! It’s $17 for 1/3 lb sandwich and a 4oz side, about $20 if you add a fountain drink. It’s a really good deal for the quality service and food you get. I’ll for sure be back!

Was in town for work, local coworker suggested this place. We were gonna go to Rudy’s since it came up on Google.

I don’t really get into which place is better or worse. But if you want something that’s good but also different and unique this is the place. If I was a local it would 100% be in my rotation of restaurants I frequented. 10/10. Staff was real chill too, waved us in a couple minutes before they opened.

Absolutely amazing BBQ. Michael, the owner, took great care of us. We will definitely be back on our next trip east. Fun fact, his Mom is from my hometown of Cullman, Alabama and I compare all BBQ to Johnny’s. They have met their match. Thanks so much for such a delicious, huge pork sandwich.

The best BBQ ever! The short ribs are fall of the bone tender and the flavor drool worthy.
Make sure you grab a TX Twinkie (two if you’re sharing bc they will change your life), and don’t forget the creamed corn and potatoe salad for sides.
For sure a must eat in Del Rio.
