This Hummus Republic location is conveniently situated right across from the San Francisco Premium Outlets. Many visitors from the outlets stop by this area in search of good food. It was our first time at Hummus Republic – we stumbled upon it while looking for a healthy lunch option over the weekend.
We ordered the Chicken Shawarma Bowl and the Falafel Bowl. They offer two bowl sizes – 26 oz and 38 oz—and the 26 oz was just the right portion for one person. The Chicken Shawarma Bowl came with chicken, rice, and three toppings (we chose onion, tomato, and corn). We also added fried eggplant for an extra $0.50 per piece. Hummus is an additional $0.50, and there are several flavor options; we went with harissa hummus, which was great if you enjoy a spicy kick. You can choose two dressings – we opted for Tzatziki and Garlic Jalapeño Tahini. I almost forgot it came with a pita too .I personally thought it could have used a bit more dressing for extra flavor.
Overall, it was a decent, healthy meal option. However, the total came to about $16 for the 26 oz bowl, which felt a bit pricey considering the add-ons. If that price applied to the 38 oz bowl instead, it would have been a better value.

I had the falafel bowl. The veggies were fresh, and they offer a great variety of toppings, which is nice for healthy eating. However, I found the sauce to be somewhat flavorless. With more flavorful sauces, the overall dish could be much better.

Our fool it was OK my granddaughter like you see in the picture or burn takes very nasty. That place is filthy dirty and then when they’re mopping, it smell like a toilet the place is faulty. They need to be cleaned up really good I said food is ok, but I will never Going back to the place and this was around 7:00pm

I noticed the Hummus Republic while I was charging my Tesla. I was extremely pleased to eat there. I have trouble finding good Vegan food when I am traveling. Their wraps are delicious, vegan, and inexpensive. I noticed that the Arabic word for peace is written left to right and should be right to left. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Fast service with Chipotle-style “make your own” wrap/bowl options. The veggie toppings were fresh, and the hummus was decent, but the pita, falafel, and other proteins were pre-made and dry (The mushroom shawarma is pretty bad, avoid it). I’ve had better quality pita, falafel, and protein in other places. There’s so much room for improvement for a fast-dine restaurant that is so closely located to shopping outlets.

Saw great reviews and went for it. I ordered chicken shawarma bowl, pita chips on the side. Shawarma was soft but okay flavor but the rice was very dry. Overall the ball portion was so small that it dint even reach half. Pita chips looked delicious but way too fried so they were hard.

Delicious and healthy food for a good price (15 bucks for a bowl plus pita bread) . You can customize your own bowl. Plenty of protein, vegetables, hummus, and sauces to choose from. The blended drink is a must try. The place is always clean and tidy.

Wow this place knocked it out of the park! The menu is laid out well so you can build your own item and flavors. All the ingredients are fresh, sauces are on point, and each hummus is so good! I really liked the shawarma chicken too – not rubbery or hard. I also ordered a pita and it was very fluffy!
