What can I say—this place screams “senior center,” but with a full bar. It’s quiet, the staff is genuinely friendly, and it’s fine if you just need a quick bite and aren’t too picky about the details.

Unfortunately, the details matter.

My husband and I tried it for the first time. I got the Reuben, which was honestly very good-nice rye, tender corned beef, cooked perfectly, with hot, decent fries. My husband ordered the Hummingbird burger well-done… and it came out practically rare, dry on the outside but cold and pink inside. He said it was also pretty flavorless. The onion rings were pretty good though.

We each had a Bloody Mary. The drinks were okay, but the garnishes were gross: olives that tasted like Play-Doh and old celery, oh and old dried up pickles next to my sandwich and my husbands raw burger that had clearly been sitting out for awhile. When even the garnish is that old, it makes you question the rest of the quality control.

The decor is a weird clash of trying to be modern while still feeling outdated—like someone started a remodel ten years ago and just gave up halfway. There’s also a faint band-aid/antiseptic smell in the air (not sure if it’s the bathroom, cleaning products, or what).

Bottom line: If you’re looking for a quiet spot, friendly service, and super basic food, it’ll do. If you want fresh garnishes, a burger cooked to the temperature you actually ordered, or any real attention to detail, keep driving. Nice people, but the food just isn’t worth it.

Dined here for the first time and had lunch. We were given a choice of where to sit. Service was great and so was the food. We’d definitely return when in the area. I had the 3 cheese panini and it was delicious. Also had fried pickles as my side and enjoyed them too! My daughter had the Texas chicken wrap and fries, also great! The menu had many choices.

Food was tasty for a really good price. We ordered the tuna salad, and the hummingbird breakfast which includes hash browns, eggs, your choice of meat and your choice pancake or toast. Pancakes were really fluffy.
Best of all, service was great, the servers were really accommodating. Would definitely go again.

Great portion size, I had the Irish skillet, real corn beef hash, not from a can, and not over stuffed with potatoes. Wife had the crispy fish tacos. Bring your appetite, she could only finish one of 3 and said it was really good. Well be back when I’m the neighborhood. They make breakfast all day too.

What a great find! This little restaurant has been around for 30 years, and it was our very first time in. Nice, quiet, cozy atmosphere, great food and great service. Homemade soup is out of this world!

This is one of my wife and my favorite restaurants. We go every week. My wife particularly likes the steak tacos although she gets other things as well. I love getting their meat lovers skillet, but made as an omelette. It is just chock full of meat. The people are wonderful. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it is a wonderful place to have a meal.

If you blink whilst driving past this place you’ll miss it but you should make the effort to stop in because it’s worth it. I came for lunch; easily found parking, was greeted and seated with a smile and without delay. Place definitely has that “family owned and operated” vibe that’s missing from so many places these days.

I ordered the cheeseburger; it arrived promptly and piping hot. Everything was very tasty, good portion sizes and good value for money. Burger patty was fresh and well seasoned. The fries may have been frozen but they’re so well prepared it didn’t matter. Wish I had found this place ages ago!

Had the fish tacos and they were so fresh and crispy! My friend had the salmon kebab with rice, again, made fresh and very good! This place is a hidden gem, will definitely come back!

This is such a cute find! I can’t believe I only just discovered it! Don’t let the kind of work interior deter you, this place has great food! I got a spinach and feta inlet with hash browns- for the sidd they let me do the red velvet pancakes (that’s really what I wanted anyhow) and they were amaaaaaaazing! My dad got regular pancakes with some really thick bacon and he said his were the best pancakes he ever had! It was fairly empty at 11am on a Friday, and the food came quickly. I’m already planning to come back!
