Burgers are giant, juicy, and filling! Fries are one of the best fries I’ve had! Soft on the inside but crisp outside

I was looking forward to trying out Humbrews again (after years of not going). And the atmosphere is great but there are some kinks that need to be ironed out. I ordered the half pound of wings which come with a side. The wings are tiny, like I have not really seen anywhere else. Which is fine- they tasted good. But I received about 5 wings which was certainly not a “1/2 pound.” I ordered a side salad, which came on the same plate and was also an up-charge of 3 bucks. Which was a surprise because the online menu said $2 and the menu I was handed in the restaurant said $2.50. I didnt mind the upcharge but pricing on the menu should be accurate. And unfortunately, the salad was warm. It should not have been placed on the same plate as the wings which sat under a heat lamp… It was about a 1/2 handful of greens and did not come with cucumber, cabbage, or croutons as stated on the menu. While the happy hour was nice (2 bucks off my beer) the entire meal was 24 bucks and disappointing.

The beers that we had were great. We started off with some fried mushrooms which they give you a very generous portion of. We were told that it would take about 30 minutes for our food orders to arrive but the mushrooms were at our table within 10 minutes. The rest of our food arrived shortly later. I had a burger and the wife had the patty melt. Both of these were good for a brew pub. Our fries were warm like they had been sitting out for a while. The server asked if I wanted ranch with the fries and I responded yes. When we got our bill we were charged for the ranch which we had not been told was an additional charge.

Had a great experience at Humboldt Brews while visiting the Arcata/Eureka area. Service was very friendly and helpful. They seemed a bit understaffed, but our server was still very responsive and helpful. Nice selection of beers on tap. The BBQ tofu burger was awesome. I loved the spicy homemade bbq sauce, and it was so big that I only ate half and took half with me. My mom got the fish and chips, which more than met her expectations.

My husband and I traveled to Arcata, CA at the end of August. Humboldt Brews LLC is the first restaurant we visited! We were very impressed with the food and service. I think that the chicken sandwich I had was the best I’ve ever had in my life. My husband thoroughly enjoyed is burger too!! Our server provided friendly service. The food was prepared timely! The atmosphere of the restaurant was cool! Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying their experience! I highly recommend!!

This place is fabulous. About a step up from a great dive bar, and I love a dive bar! Our server was a lovely man who’s worked there for 25 years, which I think says what a great place it is. We had a couple burgers and I was really enjoying how thinly sliced the onions and tomatoes were. Perfect to compliment the burgers without overwhelming their flavor. And there was an all girl punk band playing in the next room, that we could hear while we ate. Such a rad experience!
