Stopped in after an early soccer game with the family. Service was good and we were sat immediately.

Biscuits and gravy are great. The pancakes were also very good. Had OJ, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Really enjoyed the meal and the restaurant. Loved the old school country vibe of the place.

Recommend you stop in if you’re in the area.

Found this place online and decided to try it out. Nice location. Free street parking available and it’s not very busy at that time when we were there. Came for brunch and very close to lunch hour. Great first impression. Love the whole interior of this place; it’s quaint, nostalgic and accommodating to all ages at the same time. It has great country vibes. Service, as you entered and seated was good. Menu was given right away and another person took your order right away after that. The wait for food was fair. Each ordered different ones. We enjoyed the food and personally thought there’s always room for improvement when it comes to the taste. Chicken on the salad was quite tough (almost like beef-jerky kinda tough texture), the fried chicken was fair but could’ve been better, and so was the gravy. The rest was fair. The size of the serving is fair and food is priced-well. This place is great for couples, family and groups. Give this place a try.

Set around antiques from several eras, this place has some amazing grilled dishes. From grilled zucchini to grilled pork chops, you can’t go wrong. Are you craving veggies? Man, this is the place for you. 15 different sides were listed and most were veggies! Definitely hit the spot! I recommend this place highly! Ask for Sarah!

2 stars because I wouldn’t visit again …I expected too much perhaps was the issue , no natural juices , no orange juice or organics for the kids , but real orange juice goes a long way for breakfast , the drinks are 4 dollar plus for sugar sodas , I ordered chicken fried chicken which was the slimmest chicken I had ever received , the gravy had no taste . Its just not a grandma’s type of Cafe…shame that I would prefer Dennys over this place .

We have been regulars at Humble City Cafe for almost 20 years. Something has really changed with the food quality this year. We keep trying hoping it is a fluke, but the last half dozen times we have come the food has just not been good. This used to our favorite place for down home southern food. My favorite chicken-fried-chicken is now pounded so thin that it comes out dry (see photo). The Thursday pot roast special has also been dry and resembled pulled pork today. This seems to be the case for almost everything we have tried in the last few months. Why has it changed from food that used to be so great? The service has still been incredible, the problems are all with the kitchen preparation. Food under-seasoned, over-cooked, cooked incorrectly. Even the corn bread was dry and seemed old. Today may have been the last straw where we will be looking for a new place for down home southern food.

We initially ordered medium rare steak, but it arrived well done. We requested a change, which they happily accommodated. Service was slow due to the large crowd. The staff was helpful and friendly. While the plates weren’t spectacular, the portions were quite adequate. The crepes were undercooked on the inside.

The service was pretty bad but the food was even worse. If you like greasy salty food you should totally come here. Their omelets taste like they were made in the microwave and their over medium eggs were cooked over easy. The coffee mug was dirty and the bathroom did not have paper towels. The only bright side was that the hosts were very nice.

1st off the coffee was great. The food was good and portions were also good for the $. It wasn’t greasy or anything like other reviewers mentioned. The food did need salt and pepper. But that’s how food should be served, so you can season to your liking. Service was fast and polite. The men bathroom was clean and smelled clean. I can’t speak for the women’s. I arrived at opening, 7am, and there were only a few other patrons that early. It was quiet and the music was nice not to loud or annoying. I do recommend to anyone in the area to stop in for a good breakfast.

Went in for Thanksgiving lunch. Needed a table for 9. They sat us in under 30 minutes even though the place was packed. Big bonus for us for that one. The food tasted home cooked. Our family will be coming back. Highly recommended for all
