Hula Moon is a cute, casual spot with a laid-back vibe. The service was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and really on top of things—which made the experience pleasant from the start. The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, though the overall feel leaned a little chain-like rather than unique.
The food, unfortunately, didn’t quite match the quality of the service. While everything was fresh, the flavors and textures were underwhelming. The gumbo had a gelatinous consistency that made it less enjoyable, and the entrées, though well-portioned, leaned more bland than bold. The grilled vegetables and pineapple were nice touches, but the chicken dish lacked the punch I was hoping for, and the presentation didn’t do much to elevate it.
We also tried the chips and dip, which were crisp but served with a rather flat, one-note dip, and the coconut shrimp, which looked golden and crunchy but tasted average. Nothing was bad, just not memorable.
Overall, Hula Moon has the service and cleanliness down, but the food left me wanting more flavor, texture, and excitement. A decent casual stop, but not one I’d rush back to

This is one of my new favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. We arrived for happy hour with really good specials. The Volcano Chicken Bites were nicely spiced and perfectly cooked. We both ordered recommendations from our server. The Seafood Stuffed Flounder was delicious and nicely cooked. Similarly, the Luau Pork Plate was delicious. Everything was so good, we decided to get the Fried Apple Pie. We can’t wait to come back. Next time I plan to try the Tacos and Onion Rings.

A delightful tropical themed restaurant and bar. The wait staff were friendly and fast. We had Mediterranean salmon (not sure how that connects to their Polynesian theme) and stuffed flounder. Both were tasty and relatively large portions. The menu has a somewhat random selection of dishes, but enough for everyone in your party to find something they want. Very fair pricing too.

Excellent dinner last night. Not only was the food amazing with excellent presentation, the service was PHENOMENAL. Jenna was our server. She was attentive, informative and offered personal suggestions with information to back up her suggestions. The happy hour drink specials were an added bonus. We will definitely return and look forward to trying other things on the menu!

Great service by Missy! So many interesting choices on the menu! Bowls, tacos, seafood, pork, chicken, beef, etc. Had a cup of the Hula Chowder. Nice spice level, shrimp and sausage in a thick soup on a bed of rice. Unfortunately it was way too salty. Enjoyed the Shrimp Stuffed Flounder which consisted of two nice fillets of flounder with a heavily buttered bread crumb stuffing in the middle that had a very scarce amount of highly chopped shrimp. Very tasty. The dish was accompanied by zucchini and faux risotto. The rice was very creamy, garlicky and had a good amount of capers and artichokes. Cool atmosphere with all of the Polynesian decorations!

I can’t believe I’ve lived here for so long and am just now trying Hula Moon. It was fabulous! I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegetarian rice bowl on the menu. It was one of the best bowls I’ve ever had! Kiara was our bartender/server (we sat at the bar), and she was a delight. I will definitely be back.

Stumbled on this Polynesian Tiki Grill today. What a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was very casual and laid back. Our server was friendly and attentive. Suggesting the best of the menu.
