Reviews
I unfortunately have not made the time to return since I don’t live in Talent, but her thoughtfulness is very appreciated! Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how they choose to respond. If only more local businesses would be so caring, proactive, and generous! Many times food staff can turn the other way, not care, and offer nothing to make up for a mistake. Thank you Hula Grill Owner. I look forward to giving you another try.
Initial Review: I was enjoying my shrimp tacos and mac until I discovered a hair (not mine), at the bottom of my mac. See attached photo It was my first time trying the food here. I ordered delivery through Door Dash. I ordered the tacos and also rice with chicken terriyaki. I hope I won’t find any issues or more hidden surprises inside the chicken terriyaki.
Decided to review this place from the recent negative reviews.
My recent visit i asked for ter teriyaki chicken, and the receipt indicate teriyaki chicken with pork.
For those not wanting pork, I think this must be displayed as such.
I find that in my most recent experiences Phoenix and Talent have sanitary lack when it comes to clean utensils and gloves, and hair wraps.
However, I liked this place
Food was fresh as well as good, plentiful and fast.
Remember you are dealing with food trucks that have high volume and smiling customer service might not b available. (However went back a month later and the person was very nice with a smile and spoke “how she loved working there”).
Went back to check consistency, my experience was better.
However, I recommend this place.
Depending on the time you go, parking is the only issue.
There are other food facilities within walking court.
Places to sit and eat seemed plentiful.
TY
Also, the orange sauce it comes with smells weird & I do not want to try it. And they plop the tiny containers of it right into your food, which I find unsanitary. More sauce options would be very appreciated as well (served on the side/out of the food container). Suggestions: soy sauce, Teriyaki sauce, Hawaiian BBQ sauce, etc. (Pic was taken once I got gome & added my own sauce to it).
The truck is beautiful with a fun design. It’s in a fun location with plenty of seating. The ladies working inside the truck are always friendly. But the food is just way too overpriced for the lack of flavor & options available. I’ve been a local in this area for a while & would easily make this spot a regular choice & bring others to try it if a few things were added, or if the price went down a few bucks. I feel like I’m paying $15 for some rice, a few strands of cabbage & not enough meat. I kept hoping things would improve, but that’s why I finally decided to write a review. I will try this place again in a few months to see if they’ve gotten any better, but if not, I won’t go again.
Ps: there are a couple different versions of their online menu, one of them (the first one thst pops up for me) has old prices that show $1-$2 less per dish.
had the kahlúa fries and they are on point!
highly recommend!
