It is a throw back bar.Ok..Ok..It a dive.! but a great dive bar! Walking in takes you back in time. I don’t think there is a more laid back bar than Huie’s in Berks County. Want to smoke a cigarette? You can. They don’t chase you outside to smoke. It is the most non pretentious bar I have every been to. Beer prices are great. Scott, the bartender, is such a nice guy. Pretty damm smart too. Don’t challenge him in Jeopardy unless you want to get your butt handed to you. This bar may not be for everyone and that’s a good thing but it’s good enough for me and all the other nice people who go there!! 1/2/24.. The greatest dive bar in Berks County. There are a lot of regulars and a lot if banter. If you are thin skinned or easily offended, this is not the place for you. If you come in feeling entitled or special, or demanding or complaining you won’t feel that way when you walk out. Yeah, it a little clicky but it’s like family when you are part of the click.WARNING!!! If you are a liberal or Democrat or entitled or a snowflake or hate Trump this is not the place for you. Trust me!

A good atmosphere, and if you like the fact that you were in your 70-year-old uncle’s basement that smoke cigarettes. Has a lot of old stuff, and they love to play old game shows.
