It was nice again to see a cleaner HuHot than the Cedar Falls location. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food bar was well maintained with minimal food where it shouldn’t be. The grill area was pretty clean as well. This is my second visit to this location, both recent, and the potatoes were not allowed enough time to cook. I also ordered cheesecake ragoons both times and they were cold in the center.

We had never been to HuHots before, an the waitress was very helpful an explained how it works, go through the line, then add sauce, bring to the cook.. ok great process.
Start with a bowl, it took 5 tries before I found a clean one.. I thought ok, they just missed a few… the amount of options were very good, an alot to choose from. I took it to the chef, it all looked so yummy the way they were cooking it, I’m hungry an excited for this first time visit..
He handed me my plate after cooking it, an as I walked back to my table I was looking at it.. my plate was VERY DIRTY! I called the waitress over showed her, an she apologized an I started over. I will say my next plate is the picture, it was delicious. But when I went to the bathroom an really looked around, this place is DIRTY! I’ll try the one in Ames an Des Moines, but I can’t go back to this one, very surprised the inspector leaves this place open.

We came here for my son’s birthday. There were 20 of us. Maddie, our server, did an excellent job keeping us in drinks and taking care of us. This place is basically a buffet. You have to get in line, grab a bowl (or two) and fill it with uncooked meat – there us a large variety- then noodles, vegetables and finally the sauces. Sauces come in a variety of flavors and spiciness. Choose carefully. You then take your bowl to the cooking wheel where your bowl of food is poured onto the wheel in order of your place in the line. After a few minutes your food is cooked, scooped onto a plate and handed to you. Actually a very efficient method. Interesting to watch.
Dessert and drinks are available at an added cost above the meal cost.
Somewhat expensive but the food is good.
Maddie was an excellent server.
Restrooms were clean.
Recommend if you don’t mind buffet style.

Pretty good food, and you can customize to your tastes. Wish there were more options for your toppings, but what’s there is robust enough and there’s tons of flexibility for the sauces. The service is great, prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is cozy enough. A great spot if you’re in the mood for Mongolian bbq.

I feel like you can only get so far with what they provide in the all you can eat. People seem to get 6 bowls and forget you can just come back in line for 2nds or 3rds if you’re eating that much.
I had 2 moderate bowls and was stuffed. (I’m a big guy) so you definitely get your moneys worth. The cheese ragoons were taste. But the sauce wasn’t that good. I’d much rather have a sweet and sour sauce.

We love HuHot and is one of our go to places. With 4 kids who all have their own tastes they can each create their own bowl to fill them up. They have plenty of variety in their bowl selections ranging from chicken, beef, pork, along with usually crab and a fish or shrimp option. Then a good variety of vegetables: onion, broccoli, green pepper, possible, black beans, and more.

My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant exhausted and hungry after a grueling 13-hour drive. It was late—nearly closing time—but we decided to take a chance as it was on our way to the hotel, and we are so incredibly glad we stopped!
The staff was genuinely wonderful and welcoming. Despite the late hour, they were so accommodating and even offered to fire up the grill so my child could watch the cook-at-table show. We felt badly keeping them late and opted to reserve a standard table instead.
The food was really good and exactly the satisfying, high-quality meal we desperately needed. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to enjoy the full experience and see the grill in action.
We’ll definitely be back next time we pass through, and we won’t lose the opportunity to catch the show! Highly recommended for great food and even better service.

I visited today with my family, and we were all frustrated by the lack of service. Despite repeatedly asking our waitress for refills—for myself, my wife, and our daughter—we never received any. She didn’t even bring the check; I had to go up and pay on my own.
Instead of focusing on guests’ needs, she spent most of her time chatting with other customers. It felt like we were completely ignored. This kind of service is unacceptable, and we won’t be returning.
