It’s Senior day on Wednesday’s and you an entree,2 sides, choice of bread and a Tea for $8 tax included. I had their Catfish, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans Southern style, and Half &Half Tea. Their Catfish is a favorite of mine. Exceptional service, pleasant Atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant any day of the week.

The food was great and the service was awesome! They had a smile on their face when we walked in. This being our first time here, we will definitely be coming back!

I visited Hugos last night coming from out of town and the wings and fries were good. They were on special for $9.99. I had the blue cheese dressing with it and it was great. I also had a house salad which was cool and an old fashioned. The drink was a little sweet but I was able to get through it. I enjoyed the company at the bar and the bartender was very nice and welcoming.

The wings are great and I’ve never had this issue but unfortunately the person I’m eating with had a cold side that never got replaced, a cold roll, and we pretty much have been sitting here waiting for the bill. The waitress seems to have forgotten about us entirely and I keep seeing kitchen staff laughing and on their phones or talking to her at the register next to the kitchen door like they are at home at a cook out. This is pretty awful service. They need more waitresses and maybe a door to the kitchen because it just looks bad when you are waiting for service and you see people laughing and chatting like their not being paid to be there.

Me and My Son went in, thinking that we were going to get a great meal and it was just an OK experience it’s more like a sports dive and it took 45 minutes just to receive some mozzarella cheese sticks. The hamburgers were not very appetizing and I really wish we would’ve went somewhere else for $45 for two people for two hamburgers. It was a disappointing trip and took almost 2 hours to get to the waitress was also kind of shallow and rude….

I enjoy this place alot. Good food, good folks, heavy drinks. What more you looking for. Oh yeah, has ever NFL game playing on Sundays. Always a great time. I have been alot of cities in my life and integration of people is not a normal observation. I will say Hugos is full of love and it is regardless of your skin color. A very rare delicacy indeed.

We stopped here after an event in town, having never been but the nearby mexican place had closed. Nothing really stands out about the place from the outside, but inside its pretty quaint. We floundered a bit on arrival bc there was no direction to seat yourself and no seating hostess, so we kind of just looked around for a staff member for a while while everyone just watched. After seating it took a while to get our drinks, and salads, and we were all pretty hungry by the time the food came. I assume they didn’t have many people on staff at that time due to volume. The menu is huge, so you can assume its not all prepared fresh. I had the burger which was very very dry, but the sweet potato fries and maple sauce were great. A few others members of our party had small complaints about their food but the waitress kept our drinks up and was very pleasant. All in all the place is okay, the food’s not amazing, I assume many patrons come for the bar. The staff was nice though, so I kind of wish the place was updated a little better with a fresher menu.

The food and services have been great since we started eating in and taking out from here. Today we tried ordering a Swiss cheese burger and was informed they dont have Swiss cheese. I said ok give me cheddar on it. The waitress informed me they dont have Swiss and the cheddar is white chedar. The menu says Swiss and chedar on their monster burger and Swiss on their reuben sandwich. So apparently they misrepresent their food on their menu amd online, and no telling what else they are cutting corners on. Very disappointing since we go there often and this is the 1st time we are hearing about this. No self respecting cook would put cheddar onto a real reuben sandwich. And that explains why their Swiss has tasted off in the past.

Hugo’s restaurant is where you go when the retirement home you live in let’s you out for a romp about town. It’s primary clientele are basically geriatrics. Insofar as being a sports bar, well, it does have a wide screen TV. But navigating the steps down to the bar with your walker would be quite the ordeal. But down in the bar area is where the restroom is located — well, I should call it a water closet — it’s that small. And the only sports I can see its patrons playing would be shuffleboard, bridge, or Bingo. The food is inexpensive and sufficient and the staff is adequate, but even being geezer that I am, I am not ready for a seniors’ menu with $7.00 entree and two sides options. This place, however, is preferable to a Denny’s at 4 o’clock in the afternoon with its “blue plate specials.” In a few years, i may have my caregiver wheel me into Hugo’s for some soup or mashed potatoes and gravy. Believe it or not, it stayed quite busy while I was there — the draw is obviously the inexpensive menu. Servers and managers know the customers by name and food and beverage preferences, which I consider a plus.
