I was not terribly impressed with this “authentic” Italian food. Having had the real thing, it felt a bit contrived, like the chef might have been following along with a cooking show as he was preparing the entree. The dessert was, by far, the midst pleasant part of the meal. The staff was great. The decor adequate. The ambience–forced.

Locally owned, upscale food (think Olive Garden+), but with reasonable prices for fine food. Don’t be shy because its a small town, this classic American downtown features some great food ! Clean, bright, and most importantly VERY DELICIOUS. Seriously, the food is great.

Good enough we will come back. Many dishes are in cream sauce. Few dishes in red sauces which is my preference for Italian. Bread served was delicious. Was surprised no parmasean or olive oil containers were on the table. Dishes were well seasoned & pasta was not over cooked.

I placed a take out order that included Chicken Breast, Broccoli and Mashed Potatos for $15.. Yet when I got it back home their were zero potatoes and 3 pieces of Broccoli. When I called to ask about my missing potatoes I was told that they were out of Mashed Potatoes. Well.. than you offer a replacement!! You don’t charge full price and leave a big part of the meal out!!! Had you told me when I ordered I would have chosen a replacement. But you didn’t even offer one and thought it would be ok to charge me $15 for a piece of Chicken and 3 pieces of Broccoli?? The cook who was running the show complained that the owners weren’t there and left him to figure it out. At the same time an older couple.. one of which was in a wheel chair had been waiting outside in the cold to be seated. They REFUSED to move the 1 table in the way of the ramp to let this older couple come in from the cold to sit and have a hot meal. This is not the right restaurant for this town. Terrible customer service. Discrimination. And I would never help them pay a bill with a cent of my money! Customer service is EVERY THING!!!!

Start with the great. The lasagna is spectacular. smoked sausage and delicious sauce. ORDER THAT. 6 hours to make! Someone sold their soul for that recipe. Do yourself a favor and order it.
Bread was tasty, served with olive oil, balsamic and spices. The caprese was good. The Caesar was a Caesar. they use fresh grated parmesan on the massive spaghetti portions.
Steak was rough. The chef “in training” undercooked it twice, then overcooked it. I’m guessing there is no good local butcher in Mexico. Stick with pasta and you won’t be disappointed, the owners know what they’re doing there. Steak depends on the person at the grill. Pasta reflects the soul of the place.
All the desserts were good. tiramisu, creme Brule, and lemon raspberry cheese cake (cheesecake and cake… it was good.)
The owner made everything right in the end, so the rating is justified in my mind.
We were in for a wrestling tournament and the place was inundated with a very inexperienced staff completely overwhelmed. Speaking from experience, I can say they didn’t stand a chance. But it was all good because of the incredible effort they put in.
Bottom line: This place is worth the visit. Go there.

Great atmosphere, food and staff. Nice variety on their menu. It’s also a great place to grab a drink with their big wine menu and lots of craft beer options. Love this place!!
