This time we were served by Hugo, affectionately known as “the guy with the white van.” We ordered five tacos to sample the variety and, above all, the quality. We ordered chicken, al pastor, carnitas, and sausage tacos. They were all good, flavorful, and delicious. They have a wide menu of authentic tacos. My favorite was the al pastor taco—juicy and tasty.

As a Mexican person this is the spot for great and well done authentic tacos. Good quality ingredients and the salsas are spicy and delicious. I drive a few towns over once a week to eat here. Friendly and quick service , unlike the flashy truck across the street (which is barely authentic Mexican).

Best taco truck in Waterbury. Don’t be fooled by the glitz and glamour of other joints, Don Hugo is the real deal. Cash-only but worth it. There has been times I forgot that I didn’t have cash and he told me it’s ok just pay another day. The food is delicious, freshly made and filling.
