This hidden gem is awesome. Relaxed environment, locals chatting and laughing. I felt right at home. Decor is kinda cool, I’ll asked about the dollar bills hung up everywhere next time. Food was top notch. Ordered wings and they were great. The bartender was so nice and kept conversation with me. Definitely will be back!!!

Was a nice calm atmosphere the food was delicious and great portions for pricing. We had a few different menu items at our table I tasted all of them and they were all great. The customer service was amazing too

The only reason for a three star review was that we ordered a 12” steak sub to split. The sub was delicious but the price on the menu was $12.48 . We asked for half to have no lettuce and tomatoes. We received our bill and was charged $16.80. When we asked why, the server said because we got it with different items so she had to charge for two 6” subs. We actually got less items on half which were included on the sub. We should have been told that that was their policy and could have picked off the items ourselves. It was a $4.00 difference which even if it was a $1 we should have been made aware while ordering.

Best wings around E-ville?

Visited the Hughes Hotel on a whim (or rather a quick Google search) this past weekend, when I had a wicked craving for wings.

The drive from E-ville to the Hughes is an easy 15 minute drive to Little Valley, and it is well worth it.

The interior is a tad dated but very comfortable and inviting, like a proper tavern/bar/pub should be. The staff was friendly, helpful and pleasantly chatty.

No beer on tap, so bottled Yuengling was an easy choice. However, the wings were the star of the show. Ordered the suicide and the hot garlic, and while the suicide were decently spicy, the garlic ones were amazing! Very large and meaty, saucy without being too drenched, properly crispy and superbly cooked … best wings in a long time.

We shall return, upon our next cottage weekend … and I will bring reinforcements to enjoy the superb offerings at the Hughes Hotel.

Great place with amazing food and excellent ambience. We drove over 2 hours from Rochester to eat here. Got to meet the best Friday afternoon waitress, Tina, and enjoy her, her food pics and her fun conversation. The menu is big and the selection is tempting to order one of everything. I would highly recommend it and will do the drive again for the experience.

Great selection of burgers, tasty pizzas and a ton of apps. Wings looked good and saucy but we didn’t get them. Friendly and quick to take orders and bring the food out. Only drawback was the beer selection, but they do have all the usual options.

Stopped in this place because it was listed in a tourism magazine and the food looked good. Walking in there was nothing that said seat yourself or wait. We walked up to the bar and were ignored by the older blonde bartender for a couple minutes, looking around you could see menus on the table so we decided to seat ourself. It took about 15 minutes before the woman came over to the table asking what we wanted to drink. We told her 2 waters with lemon which seemed to irritate her. When she came back we placed our orders. The place seemed busy, a lot of people walking in picking up food, a few more tables around us filled up. We ended up waiting for a little over a hour. Never did she come to check on us, no apologies or explanation on the wait and definitely no water refills in the hour or more that we waited. What made us get up and walk out was the table next to us, who arrived about 20 minutes after us got their pizza. The bartender/waitress walked right by us, no asking if we need anything, no apologies on the wait, just ignored.

This place is a hidden treasure in rural New York.

The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is personable. The kitchen staff really knows the way to your heart if you’re hungry. Everything gets a little extra love or a tweak that really makes everything so flavorful. I can’t wait to make a trip back on my own time on the bike, great place to stop on a ride.
