Was my first time here, visited with my mom and ate inside for dinner. Everything was so delicious, especially loved the potato salad, it was seasoned to perfection. We had ribs, they are pretty big, a packed brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and potato salad. Portions are great! Didn’t take long for our order to be ready. The ribs were fall-of-the-bone and brisket was juicy. The bbq sauces were a great pairing. Definitely found a new customer in me.
A con was the tables aren’t super comfortable since they’re picnic style tables but they got the job done. I also will say the food is pricey since it’s all sold individually but good bbq comes at a price, I suppose.

Everything was perfect, was invited in like family. The menu was very simple and easy to understand. I got the pulled pork combo, with a side of the potatoes. The pulled pork was smoked to perfection. It melts and their homemade BBQ sauce was the there perfect complement for it. The potatoes was loaded with bacon and cheese it sticks to your ribs. If im ever in Texas again I know where to get really great BBQ at.

I love their your choice of (usually Brisket or chopped beef) Meat Huge Baked Potatoe! Its awesome and definitely very filling, I have never finished a whole one so there’s always leftover for later or next day. Definitely worth the try. Their Chopped beef sandwich is also good and filling but always add your sauce or you will be a little dry. Their no meat (left plate) is just as good and convenient if you have any meat already at home to add. And last the Rib sandwich was also very filing my son couldn’t even finish it. Place is def worth a try!

I would like to start off by showing my gratitude that have an amazingly staff and their amazingly food on top of that. They have defiantly enlighten my day that day or should I say that evening. I had taste for BBQ all other restaurant ran out of potatoes and I decided to google and ran to here. I’m honestly glad that I did that plate of food has lasted me approximately 2 1/2-3 days. I did get my money worth. Let’s continue to do business again.

This place isn’t big it only sit 49 persons.Very friendly customer service. When I tell you the BBQ was on point I mean that . The brisket was tender and juicy ,the ribs were falling off , it didn’t need barbeque sauce but I just had to try the spicy sauce and it was good( but I finished it without the sauce. that’s how good it was) the collar greens were good ,bake beans were ok,the potato salad was different from what I’ve ever had but yet it was good . The portions were nice,we ended up taking some home. Okay stop reading and go try it for yourself!!! You won’t be disappointed

My husband bbqs so my standards are very high. So high in fact, most times even if the BBQ is really good, we don’t tend to go back to the same place that often. So different for us at Hug BBQ!
Everything is amazing. The brisket is by far my favorite and beating out the most famous joints in Texas. The ribs and sausage are also amazing. Most places can’t do really good meat and sides but not at HUG! The collard greens are my favorite of any place so far.
Above all, this restaurant is owned and operated by the nicest family. Supporting an establishment that is family run is so important especially by such great people. Highly recommend! We live in North Dallas and always worth the hour plus drive!
Bonus, you will never find a brisket burger better than theirs. 1000%

Would highly recommend! Food was amazing. We ordered beef ribs and elote and they were so yummy. The beef ribs came right off the bones. Friendly and kind staff as well. Woild highly recommend!

Everything was good! Down to the turkey breast, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, beef and pork sausage! I am always so nervous to eat bbq that isn’t my dad’s, but this place is AWESOME they did not disappoint! Cooked GREAT! Seasoned GREAT! Trust me, you get your bang for buck! ITS ALOT OF FOOD!

Understand that I’ve only been eating red meat again for six months, but this Brisket Burger here at HUG BBQ is the truth! Good bite, juicy, and included very fresh veggies! The baked beans were also very good with a lot of meat included. The wife’s and I order was taken by the youngest child of the owners, and the customer service was stellar. The establishment had a clean restroom, and I also had the chance to speak with the owner about catering an event later this month. We’ll be back, and you should get over to check out if you’re in the area!

As you walk in the door, you hit with heavenly BBQ smells that make me want to order EVERYTHING on the menu! Ordering is easy, especially with the owner’s sweet MIL taking the order 🙂
